Exploring this Mexican cantina, I found the ambiance lively and inviting, especially as we chose to sit outside. Despite having only one staff member managing the patio, service was a bit slow but friendly. The portion sizes were reasonable for the price, although the tamale dough was slightly thicker than expected. While the meat lacked a bit of flavor, it was still satisfactory.

It is already not easy to find a Mexican place in Irvine I am glad I found this place. The food was good, we ordered enchiladas and tacos came with rice and beans. The amount is good for the price. The giant chips are the best. The only thing is the service was a little slow, no one was cleaning the table after people left, I guess there weren't many people working there during lunch time. Overall it is a great place, great food and nice environment.
Went to pick up my order and they had no record of the order. Then after leaving I got a text saying order was ready. Restaurant was empty while all other restaurants were very busy around them. I understand why now.

Super Mex just catered my daughter's birthday party and did such an amazing job. The burritos were a hit with the adults and the kids and they went out of their way to make sure that we had a really special experience. Leta was really helpful and customized items for for my family's preferences. They had great suggestions for the group as well. Mark Aguilar. Was wonderful and very involved helped finalize and coordinate everything. Her party ended up being on a very rainy day and we were concerned about possible last minute change in delivery location. They were very accommodating and flexible. Highly recommend!

We LOVE going to this restaurant! Food is GREAT and AUTHENTIC (fresh flavors) , service is EXCEPTIONAL and it is amazing how quickly they get the food out! Looking for something that is not to heavy? Try the "mini-chimi's". I order them as all Beef (rather than some Beef and others Chicken) and it is a meal!

I went into this establishment just to ask about gluten free options as I have celiac disease and have been looking for Mexican food with gluten free options. This location went above and beyond to call their distributor and make sure how the tortillas were made and what was in the tamales. I was so in awe that they would do this. I understand it was slower at the time so they could but just for anyone else they have gluten free corn tortillas and their tamales had rice flour in it. I was super happy in hearing this and ordered the 3 combo platter with two chicken tamales and one sweet corn and due to gluten in the red sauce I got green sauce being it didn't have any gluten. I thought it was very delicious and would definitely order it again as well as the complimentary chips and salsa! Their salsa is amazing and compliments their chips very well. I also was impressed with how clean they keep their restaurant and restrooms. Everything looked very nice and I definitely recommend this for anyone who loves Mexican food!
