Hellllll yeah they have the street snacks that I miss eating! Most of these TW places are in LA county so it’s really nice to have an option here in Irvine. Faves include the sweet taro cake and the fried sticky rice cake (careful - Medium has a decent kick so if you’re a spice lover definitely go medium spicy or above).

The popcorn chicken was good, the taste is much better than Juguang, but we should've ask for more pepper salt and basil leaves.
The "black pudding" and calamari tastes very authentic!

The food itself is good and the service mediocre, but I’ve always accepted it through the years and didn’t have a problem. The incident tonight was the last straw prompting me to write this comment. My friend and I ordered our food on the kiosk and inputted our phone numbers as it was the only method to notify that our food is ready. As we waited, we saw the server put the food on the table, but we thought they were other people’s orders because we didn’t receive our texts. Until 20 minutes later we asked for our order status did they tell us those two orders on the table were ours. We picked up our food and on our way out, my friend said “thank you” to the waitress wearing the green hat, who didn’t bother to look up from her phone and outright ignored us. As I opened the door, I apologized to my friend (which was his first time at the restaurant) about the mediocre service here, and that it’s a norm at this restaurant. Apparently that waitress heard my comment (and apparent not the earlier “thank you” comment), chased out the door after us, and started video recording us. Keep in mind, this is a takeout restaurant. Looks like her ears didn’t catch the louder “thank you” comment, but picked up the quieter reflection of her rudeness outside the closing door. She continued to film us as we sat down at the outside tables to eat, which was creepy and unprofessional to say the least. Ten minutes later, a waiter came out of the restaurant, walked right up to our table while looking at me dead in the eye. He didn’t say anything, walked up next to my friend and examined his face, too. In case he wouldn’t remember our features when he describes us to his other colleagues. I am dumbfounded to say the least, and haven’t felt this kind of high school drama for a while, and funny how it’s at a restaurant and at a comment that truly reflected their poor attitude and service! The moment I finished my meal, I received a notification on my phone saying: Order #195 from Taiwan Popcorn Chicken is ready!

Electronic non-person ordering system, which I really liked. The food took unexpectedly long to prepare, around 20 minutes for a beef noodle soup and cartilage chicken. The music playing inside seemed a little inappropriate to me, I heard obscenities. That said, the beef soup was pretty good. The cartilage chicken was mostly cartilage, so I threw it away.

The fried food is delicious, but would it be too much to serve it with a bunch of vegetable stems as a side dish?

I've had lunch here 3 times and a bit disappointed each time. Both their pork chop rice and pork belly rice aren't very good, meat were chewy, although the side dishes and veggies that came with were good. Their fried chicken skin were bad, the two times I tried it. Their milk tea were very basic and watery, although the boba was ok. Not coming back for sure.

Stopped by Taiwan Popcorn Chicken in Irvine for a quick lunch and yikes what a disappointment. There is zero human contact and the food was legit burning hot in some spots and frozen in others. It was kinda surreal having burning hot noodles and frozen meat all in one bowl. Can't even mix in the peanut sauce as it's congealed No need to say moreZero service. You place your order and wait for your number to appear and you go pick up your meal.Clean restaurant with plenty of parking.

If I could give a zero star I definitely would. First time ordering in this place since I would pass by this place a lot whenever I go to work. Bought their popcorn chicken to give it a try but so dissapointment when it only has tiny bit of seasoning. Way too overpriced and no flavor at all even a taste of salt. A $32 worth of chicken for this much is never worth it. Also the fact that is not cooked well. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. NEVER AGAIN!!

Ordering is very easy and the food is amazing! The touchscreen is user-friendly and traveling through the menu is a breeze. So many options...we chose popcorn chicken - you can adjust the spiciness- and fried mushrooms, with a green tea, for less than $20. The chicken was juicy and perfectly spiced and did not need a sauce or any add-ons for taste. The mushrooms were spectacular and exactly what we were looking for! Big savory taste, not too salty. Their green tea was so flavorful, with blooms of floral explosions over cold ice. I can't wait to come back and try the calamari and different types of fried mushrooms and chicken!

The food was spoiled. I ordered popcorn chicken and chicken heart. Upon bringing them to my car, I detected an off scent. By the fourth piece of popcorn chicken, I found a large spoiled piece. Coupled with unsanitary kitchen conditions, I advise against visiting this place.

I really wanted to like this place. I love popcorn chicken, fried chicken skin and gizzards. I’ve read the reviews and decided to give them a chance.I hate to write negative reviews but I hope management will do something about it.The place was very dirty. The tables were gross and sticky. We got there around noon and there wasn’t any customers at the time. I went with my son and every time he drops a toy, I cringe because the ground was dirty and he’d pick up some hairs along with the toys.He didn’t want to finish his food and frankly, neither did I. It felt like they were fried in old oil.
