Came here this morning around 10:30-11am. The people were great from the start. They were super welcoming and informative about the menu. I was kinda confused because they handed us 4 copies of the same menu LOL. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and the sweet heat cutlet. The friend that I was with said the biscuits and gravy were super good. I didn't try them because they really aren't my thing in general. I had the sweet heat cutlet. The chicken was cooked so perfect. However, the cheese did nothing for me except add a strange gamey texture. I ended up pulling it off as best I could. All of their sauces are homemade. Their ranch was super yummy. Overall the food and service were good and the ambiance is super trendy and whatnot but it was honestly a little overpriced. We got 2 entrees and 2 drinks and it was nearly $100 bucks. Not sure if we will be back.

This restaurant blew my expectations out of the water! My bf has known the owner through covid and thank god he could make it through with Cluck Kitchen and the Cut. It’s very obvious the owner and chefs have a PALETTE. I got the pork belly burger and my god. The havarti and the sweetness of the bacon jam are choices the opposite of arbitrary. Also the tots in the cheese sauce were absolutely the best I’ve ever had. The quality of ingredients here along with the FLAVOR is unmatched. Easily among my top ten favorite restaurants and I consider myself a bit of a snob when it comes to a menu. This place deserves fame, straight up. To me also the service at a restaurant really doesn’t matter if the food is amazing, but everyone there was so kind and helpful. 10/10 experience , we will be back ASAP.

It's been a while since we've been back to The Cut. My husband really enjoys the burgers there and he has yet to get the popular $40 burger. We arrived today at around 12:45 for lunch. I decided to do something different and opted for the tres leches French toast. It was really good! Would definitely recommend it. My daughters shared the Cut-inental breakfast. Which consisted of bacon and eggs and a side. That was gobbled up. We also ordered the original for our daughter. And it was ordered well done. Just like previous times, they can't seem to get that order right. The patty is never well. In fact it was pink. So what they did was eat everything but the patty. My husband had the savory. And that was done to his liking. Pricing seems to have jumped up about $6-8 dollars per dish. But that's also because they each come with a side.

Be happy

Food was very good a couple months I went there last week OMG The place was dirty and food was awful nasty taste and full of oil. So sad.

My friend mentioned this was one of his favorite spots and kindly took us here. It's in a fairly popular plaza in Irvine but didn't have trouble finding parking on a weekend afternoon. The restaurant has decent amount of seating with some patio space as well. Seems like dogs are allowed on the patio! Started with the poutine to share which is nothing like the original. It uses chimmichurri sauce instead of the gravy and smoked mozzarella cheese instead of curds. I'm a big chimmichurri fan so I loved this take on poutine. It wasn't as heavy or greasy, but I would say it should be called more of loaded fries than a poutine. The brisket was very tender as well. I got the classy burger as my main which has goat cheese and honey. A very classy burger indeed. I can't say I tasted honey though. Maybe the balsamic overpowered it. I ordered a side of bacon jam which I thought would go well with it. However, I was disappointed it was just sweet crumbled bacon and cranberries? really instead of actual bacon jam. I did not end up eating much of that and threw it on leftover fries as a topping lol. Other than that this was a solid, slightly higher-end burger joint that I would come again for!

I'm torn about my rating. Is $20 starting price for a basic burger not considered too expensive? I know that they make their own patties using Chuck, short rib, beef rib and ribeye. As those are quality meats to use for their burger patties, I still feel their price point for a burger is pricey in my book. I ordered the Colombian burger and it was a 6/10 to me. The meat was bland to me. I added mayonnaise to each bite to add flavor. I had the chimichurri on the side as to not affect the taste of the beef. My order did come with a side and I chose garlic fries which there was an extra charge. The other burger we tried was the sweet and spicy which came with bacon that I could not taste. I really wanted to try The Cut, but I was afraid to take a $40 risk.

GREAT hamburger joint. Before I get to the food I have to comment on the service which was 1000% on point. Great recommendations, attentive, prompt with requests...just fabulous! Okay, the food. I am not a hamburger person so I was leaning towards the "codfather" or one of the amazing looking chicken sandwiches but the hamburgers sounded so good! I had the classy burger with goat cheese and caramelized onions and I was not disappointed! I don't have a lot of burgers so saying it was the best I've ever had could be misleading but I would definitely have it again! I had the sweet potato fries (which I have had more often) and they were scrumptious too! They weren't all dressed up which was good because they were cooked to perfection and had a wonderful dip on the side. I was there with a few regulars who have their favorite burgers and love the garlic fries too. Lastly, the drinks, I tried the jalapeño margarita and it was also great. It had a nice warm kick to it and wasn't super sweet which I liked. I would have it again although there were a few others I look forward to trying next time we're visiting.

Was visiting from out of town and always on the prowl for great burgers during my travels. There are some truly great burger joints in So Cal and The Cut is right up there with the best of them. I always start with the basic burger, and this one did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly to medium rare and seasoned well with a burger to bun ratio that was spot on. The bun held up well and I devoured it immediately. The fries were fantastic as well with plenty of garlic and seasoning to satisfy my needs. The atmosphere is positive with plenty of seating and access to the outside world. Staff was a pleasure to chat with and seemed very proud of the business. Will definitely return when in the area.Parking: Parking is ample. No issues.

Service was great!!! Food lacked flavor, but it wasn't horrible. We liked the "open" feeling with the large sliding door.
