Chic Now Hainan Chicken Rice

Saw Portuguese egg tarts on the menu while walking by and got an order for dessert on my way off the premises (i had eaten dinner at another spot).

Honestly might be the best bit of food I’ve ever had.

The Hainan Chicken rice dish is best I have ever tasted in OC. The chicken is tender and moist and all three sauces were provided were amazingly good - the sweet chilli with a bit of tang, sweet soy sauce, and the ginger scalion sauce. The rice is also very tasty if a bit hard but easily soften with the piping hot chicken broth included. If you love Hainan Chicken rice, this place is definitely a must!

Parking: Lots of parking on weekdays.

I’m a big Singapore Chicken rice and Hainan Chicken rice from Hong Kong. This Chicken is soft and tender, but wrong sauces, Chilli sauce was too sweet, ginger oil got no favors, missing salt and some garlic.

Hainan Chicken rice is all about subtle and balanced flavor and texture and this little takeout spot hits the right notes. It doesn't look like much, just steamed chicken on a bed of rice, but the taste is very comforting and it's easy to eat. Get it with the skin on!My favorite sauce is the garlic sauce, and the chicken soup that comes with the Signature combo is delicious and complementary to the chicken rice.My only warning is that it cools off quickly in the wide takeaway containers, so don't order too far ahead of time and eat it quickly.

Parking: I haven't come here during lunch rush, but at dinner time, parking is easy. It's mostly delivery drivers that are in and out.

I'm a huge fan of Hainan chicken rice and I'm quite particular about it. I've tried many places, but it's hard to find a really good one. The chicken here was tender, but a bit bland. Their ginger sauce was tasty though. The outdoor seating was great, with planes landing every 2 minutes. It was quite a view!

Wow, I'm totally surprised by how delicious the hainam chicken rice at this place is. The rice is good, but rhe chicken and the 3 sauces made it super delicious. Just know this is not a restaurant, just a kitchen selling to go food. I picked up my order at the back of the building, unit F. Just call the number once you're behind the kitchen, they brought the food out within a few minutes.

I visited OC during summer break, I already miss chic now hainan chicken.The chicken itself was perfectly cooked, with tender, juicy meat that practically melted in my mouth. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures, from the smoothness of the chicken skin to the tenderness of the meat. The accompanying sauces, particularly the ginger and chili, added an extra layer of zing to the dish, perfectly complementing the natural flavors of the chicken. Packing it’s great! The containers they used, it’s a little bit hard to open but I can tell it’s very high quality. Not those cheap one that easy to break.Overall I can’t wait to go back for their chicken again!

i've been wishing for a hainan chicken rice place in oc but... rice and chicken dont have the flavor that hainan chicken rice is supposed to have. better to make it yourself or get it from LA!
