I love this place. Very clean sitting area. The food always slaps. I love the variety of toppings here. Id recommend if you like authentic Chinese food. I don’t know much of the rest of their menu but the self serve malatang/hotpot is great. I’d recommend the beef bone soup. Mild is good spicy. They also have a self serve topping/sauce bar. The guy working there is really nice. They don’t speak super English well but still very kind and fast service.

I don't understand why this place gets bad reviews--it feels like people just don't get the concept of malatang. As someone who comes here often for late-night eats, I can confidently say this spot deserves way more love.

The dry pot here is absolutely delicious. The flavors are bold, spicy (if you want it to be), and so satisfying. Sure, the ingredients aren't the highest quality, but let's be real--where else can you get a full, hearty meal for $10-15? Compared to fast food, this is a no-brainer. You pick your own ingredients, customize the spice level, and walk away with a meal that's fresh, filling, and flavorful.

In terms of service, it's self-serve in the sense that you select your own ingredients. But once you hand them off, the kitchen takes care of the rest. Your food is freshly cooked and ready in about 5-10 minutes, which is honestly perfect for late-night hunger.

The atmosphere is cozy and homey. It's the kind of spot where college students gather for late-night eats, and I love that vibe. It's not fancy, but it's comforting in its own way.

If you've never had malatang before, maybe do a little research so you know what to expect. But for those who already know and love malatang, this place is a gem. It's my go-to spot for a late-night craving, and it honestly deserves way better reviews than it's been getting. Give it a shot--you might end up loving it too.

It is the best noodle place and my favorite =) I always crave soup late at night, which is very helpful because this place is open late. Create own noodle soup is enjoyable, and the people there are very nice and friendly. Very comfortable to go there <3

Went to eat and had to wait almost 40 minutes for the food to be served. I ordered two snail noodles. I ordered the first one and found that the topping was wrong and had the offal in it. I couldn’t stand the smell of the offal in the soup but I didn’t bother him to make it again. He said to take it out for me. Then the ingredients were still wrong. I readjusted it again, and the spiciness level was also wrong when it came out. He also asked me to fish out the chili oil and add soup to adjust the spiciness. After "carefully" checking the bill with pen and paper, we found that the snail noodles that were served still had viscera... I couldn't accept the soup and noodles that tasted like viscera, so I compromised. As a result, one serving of snail noodles cost four times. I couldn't get it right after five attempts. The soup was adjusted again and again. Think about how it tastes. We were very angry and asked for a refund, and the store agreed and we left. It was already when we were leaving that another portion of snail noodles was served, and there were other dishes that were not served. As a result, there was still no refund after two hours. After calling, they told us that they would only refund us the price of one copy because the other one was correct. What do you mean, we waited + you served the wrong dish for almost an hour and we didn’t eat anything, and then we still have to pay you dozens of dollars? Who knows if the other one is right or wrong? Really speechless. If you can't make a snail noodle four times, it's better not to make it.

Chinese people tend to believe that snail noodles and Guilin rice noodles are cooked with supermarket instant noodles, and the noodles are cooked hard. The golden crispy skin in Guilin rice noodles looks like zombie meat that has been frozen for hundreds of years. One bite makes you vomit. A portion of duck feet costs 4 or 5 yuan, and there is only one, but it doesn’t matter. I spit it out after taking a bite, as if I was chewing on tasteless dry bark.
I originally saw that the reviews were not good but it was mainly foreigners who were saying that the service was poor, so I took a gamble and thought about what if the food was okay. It is truly the most disgusting thing I have eaten in recent years.

Don’t come here. Waited 25+ mins during lunch hour. They are not busy, only 3 tables occupied. 2 people working the WHOLE restaurant. Then we found that they overcharged us. We ordered 10.99$ wings, but they charged 15.98. Very dishonest. Won’t come back. Be aware
