If you are looking for unique dishes and an extraordinary experience, this is the place for you. Most of the dishes must be ordered 24–48 hours in advance, and you can truly see the work involved in carefully crafting every dish to delight your taste buds and your eyes. The price is extremely reasonable, and the owner was very attentive and friendly. We had a great experience and will highly recommend this to our friends and family.
Good food and nice staff too. This place is in a surprising location as the food is more like what you'd get in the SGV.

Sands Chinese Restaurant 金沙中餐館 offers an unforgettable dining experience with a wide variety of delicious dishes. The chicken soup with goji berries is flavorful, the braised duck with sticky rice and chestnuts is exceptional, and the pipa tofu is fried to perfection. The many layered tofu and fried milk rolls with a taste of honeydew are also highly recommended. The restaurant provides wonderful service and a family-friendly atmosphere.
Family-owned and unassuming, Sands brings exquisite modern Cantonese cuisine to Irwindale, CA. The skilled chef creates delicious and well-presented specialty dishes like the Whole Steamed Spicy Chicken, Braised Stuffed Duck, and Rice Wine Egg White Dungeness Crab. The Thousand Layered Tofu is amazing, and the Fried Melon Flavored Milk is fried to perfection. For special items like Stuffed Chicken Wings or Rolled Steamed Tilapia, pre-ordering 2-3 days in advance is required.
The Kung Pao chicken is crispy and well-seasoned, and the egg flower soup is slightly sweet with great consistency. Though small, Sands is perfect for casual gatherings or special occasions. Prices are reasonable for unique, skillfully prepared dishes. A hidden gem worth visiting for a satisfying meal at a fair price.
