Took my daughter on a early morning errand walking through Main St we stopped at this bakery for breakfast on the go she picked a morning bun and fell in love with it's deliciousness. That same evening we went for a walk and she insisted on taking a photo of her new favorite place for a treat. I must agree with my daughter the pastry was perfect. Looking forward to trying more items.

The other reviews are correct... VERY GOOD bakery. Eastern European styled pastry are available to the citizens of Jackson. Simple service & almost Europe style food service is what you get. cash or card payment. street or Ev bike parking available (lol). we did Mushroom & Plum strudels. i 'juiced' over the mushroom strudel!!! with coffees.....aghhh well, it's a no brain'R. come here or eat FRUIT LOOPS Cereal for breakfast. it's your choice. Enjoy

This bakery is a real gem, the sourdough is always amazing (just had a great sandwich at home from the loaf I picked up this morning). But the real treats are the baked goods. The Serbian owners are friendly and Lana is an amazing baker. Her bran muffins are the best thing I have discovered since spending more time in the area of Jackson, CA (and there are amazing things to eat in the Foothills!). The bran muffin has walnuts carmelized on top, are deliciously sweet and balanced. They stopped making them after some folks were disagreeable. I have asked and asked for more - and finally last spring Lana made me a 1/2 batch (32) which I very happily took home to freeze individually. Now when I deserve a breakfast treat I remove the plastic wrap, microwave for 60 seconds, and I am in nirvana.

If you love baked goods don't miss a chance to sample the wares of Blue Door Bakery if you are near Jackson. The challenge: this place is so popular you have to get there early! Since we were staying at the National Hotel getting there early was no problem - we were just across the street. The bakery has kind of an Old World feel to it. The owner greets you from the doorway and you select items on display. He procures them, you pay and you are on your way! Very Covid friendly. We had: Mushroom Savory Croissant, Ham Croissant, Sourdough Warm Bread, Cinnamon Bun and an Apple Cinnamon Pastry. Everything was amazingly delicious! The croissants were light, flaky and buttery. The Sourdough bread, still warm, was wonderful and perfect for lunch. On the sweet side, the cinnamon bun was to die for (we should've bought two!) and the Apple Cinnamon Pastry could not be beat. A definite five star bakery!

Excellent products. Not cheap, but worth it. Sourdough is AMAZING! I always stop on my way through Jackson!

We love sunny and the blue door bakery! The sourdough is amazing and great pairing with the balsamic dip!

A tiny Serbian bakery, it has no seating and only a few items on the menu, but that are all delicious. The sourdough bread is the best I have ever had.

Unexpected delectable find in Jackson. I just had lunch and was full, but I walked by the front of the store. There was a Serbian man out front with his wife inside baking away; I was hooked by the sight of local effort. Tiny little spot. I was just going to get two morning buns for the next morning, but the smell of the sourdough bread caught me. It was steaming hot & became my unusual dinner. There are several places around that make sourdough bread, but this by far beats them all.

It's so hard to figure out why the owners don't have more products for sale when the few they have are excellent but gone early in the only days they're open! I haven't been for a few months but hope they're filling the counters with more good stuff! Prices are pretty high but items are tasty!

This is one of the few places open on a Tuesday. It is a pastry shop with no seating - they had some menu items and also some items in the menu. We ordered the savory turnover which was like a crossaint type bread with melted cheese and ham. It was super delicious and flaky. They only take cash. If there's an item you want but it's not on the menu, he can make it for you too, like sandwiches!

Probably some of the best pastries we've ever had - hands down. Spent the day antiquing downtown and before we started, we found blue door bakery. We each had a savory pastry - a mushroom onion cheese croissant/turnover type thing and it was delicious! Flaky and crisp on the outside, burnt cheese on the side, soft on the inside, and the veggies were seasoned perfectly! Then we shared a morning bun fresh from the oven! Not too sweet, perfectly baked throughout. The woman helping us might have been the owner and she was very sweet.

Oh My Gosh the bread is fantastic! Hot right out of the oven. Everyone talks about this bakery and its bread. They have a few other items also.

This is hands down the best sourdough I've ever eaten! The pastries are delicious too and the housemade balsamic vinegarette is out of this world!!!!!! It's worth the drive into town. Family-owned and operated by wonderful people - you can taste the love in the bread!

The owner is a pastry goddess! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The fresh sour dough bread with her dipping sauce is a must try, but get there early because they sell out quick. The fruit pastries are delicious, but the morning buns are the absolute best and a local favorite. Again, I highly recommend getting there when they open the door because everything sells out quick and when it is gone, no more will be made until the next day!

Serbian owned and run. Got there yesterday afternoon and their choices were very limited. Two kids beat me out of the last two morning buns but left me a lonely CC cookie. Crispy, chocolaty edges and soft insides. Perfecto. I also got a loaf of their delicious sourdough. They gave me a cup of their savory balsamic vinegar too for dippin on the way home. A definite return is mandatory. Much earlier though. Located right on Main St.. Not allowed inside yet. Hint..look for the Blue Doors.
