Drove up from the bay area because the news reports said they were closing the bar and restaurant on March 31st. I wanted to show some support. Especially when I say the new owners. I arrived today to a sign in the window, saying they closed on the 25th of February. Nothing on website or Google

Extended. We stayed in this hotel. We were spending a few days in San Francisco, visiting a relative, and along the way we made the occasional getaway to see picturesque places. In this case, within the scheduled excursion they had reserved a room at this hotel-restaurant. It looked like a Farwest hotel, I took a lot of photos, both the reception, room, common areas, etc. Reviewing them seems long to me. Small hotel, and friendly restaurant. We Loved the staff. The room was noisy, and the bed and pillows were uncomfortable, but not enough to make us unhappy ?. The recommendations we got from residents were welcome, and we absolutely enjoyed our visit!!!

We had breakfast. The stuffed hash browns!!!! Yummy. (I ordered mine without the gravy) The corned beef hash wasn't really a hash( no potatoes mixed in it) or served with. It was just shredded corned beef on a plate with eggs. The coffee was the best in Sanora and James Town. We will definitely be back!

Very cool historic hotel with preserved and new amenities. The food is good but they serve about 4 courses for dinner so be ready for a lot of food.Nearby activities: Several cave experiences nearby. Chicken ranch is fun for gamblers. Great motorcycle riding in the area.
