I am usually so much better at capturing our meals however we were starving and here on lunch from work so I only snapped one photo.
Morelia is one of the best and most authentic Mexican kitchens in the area.
I usually get the taquitos, but decided to change it up. I got the carnitas super burrito which comes with a side of rice and beans. This was delicious and huge I was able to take half back to the office for lunch the next day.
They always start us off with a mixed basket of chips, one of the only places that offers both flour and corn tortilla chips, and a bowl of house made salsa. We ordered some guacamole as well. Delicious as always.
My friend got the enchilada plate also very delicious. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. No matter when you come in they treat you like family.
The restaurant is small and family owned and it feels like you are going into their home with the love and care they put into their food. Its a simple decor restaurant but the food is the state.
Their garlic soup is killer.

Delicious food (I had the chimichanga), great chips and salsa - the chips are a mix of corn or flour tortilla and I'm a sucker for the flour chips, so light and fluffy. Good salsa. Good size portions for everyone, couldn't finish our plates. Very friendly staff and quick service.

Fresh delicious authentic Mexican cuisine, chile verde and pastor were DELICIOUS, fresh housemaid TEQUILA margaritas, friendly and speedy service, clean, quaintly decorated dining room and kitchen (open to dining area). A must stop if you are visiting Jamestown!

The food was bland and spice less, I was not impressed. Service was amazing but sadly it didn't makeup for the food.

This renewed our faith in authentic Mexican food being available in the gold country! My husband and I both grew up in Los Angeles with authentic Mexican food. My hubby used to own an Italian restaurant and his parents were from Argentina and Columbia. So he knows meats and is a meat snob….Argentina has best quality meats in the world according to his fam ;). So he is Italian descent, but speaks fluent Spanish. We discovered this restaurant a few years back and have continued to visit and brought family members, and they all agreed that the best Carnitas ever discovered. They are flavorful, tender and crispy on the edges just the way they should be cooked. They also make homemade flan which my clan always votes on and this one is voted best in Cali too! I love soups and they have a family recipe for garlic soup, which I have tried and tried to re-create with no luck. It has a beef broth, but it’s creamy and the garlic is divine but not overpowering. It sounds strange but trust me, you need to try this stuff! YOLO (you only live once) and if you go through Jamestown and don’t stop at this place, you’re going to regret it in life.
