Rawhide Meat Processing

As others have stated, my good friend brought a deer of his in to this place for harvest. When he picked up his packaged meat months later, when defrosted, would smell like nasty rotten meat. This guys freezers is tainted ?

Today was my first time visiting rawhide meats in Jamestown, customer service was TERRIBLE. When I left I told myself I am not supporting this company. I bought 2 pounds of stir fry beef. After defrosting and opening the packaged meat I noticed it smelled HORRIBLE. I fried one piece to taste it and it was so bad I spit it out. I will be on the hunt for a different local rancher. ?

Brought my harvested deer in and thought I would try them out. Our go to butcher was full so dropped it off at rawhide. Decent price and great service! Steaks cut amazing! No gamey taste to anything hardly! I got jerky which to me is mouth watering. The spicy breakfast sausage is on point with some eggs. Overall im coming back for sure and recommending it!

I wont ever do business here again. We contacted this business in August of 2019 to arrange for the butchering and processing of our 2 steers, and was given a date in September. When we called about a week prior to ensure the date and time, we were told that they are behind schedule, and needed to push to October. When October came, they said it's their busiest time of year, and we were given a date in November. Called again prior to verify, and was told they had to push back even more into December. Then in December we are told the ranch butchers truck is broken, and they cant get to us till maybe late January. After being given the run around so many times, and every time we call being told "I dont know who told you that...", and made to feel like other customers were more important than we were, we started looking elsewhere. Thankfully we found a ranch butcher who came out when he said he would there, the first time, was fast, efficient and was cheaper than this business would have been. We were always the one to contact them, they never called to tell us they were behind, and the only time they called was in January once the butcher got his truck back. I cannot attest to the quality of this businesses meats, as I have not partaken, but their ranch butchering side, and customer service side, are definitely lacking in my experience.

I have ordered my last 3 Prime Rib Roasts from Rawhide meats. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Price is competitive and the meat is amazing. They also have other great meats and jerky and bacon....I love this place.

Stopped in on our way back to Buckley Washington from Sonora and got the best beef jerky I have gotten in years.

Everything is packaged nicely. Sometimes there is a delay so plan ahead or call early. Now that they do their own smoking they are a full service butcher.
