Their add claims to have "The best pizza ever" or something along those lines. I asked my son how it was and he said top 5 for sure! Mind you he was born in Manhattan. We are also currently on the tail end of a one year, four corners of the United States, camping trip. So needless to say, we been around.It was magical in my mouth!
This has quickly become our favorite pizza and pasta spot in SD. We used to frequent the original in Little Italy, but I think this one is way better. Plus the drive there is lovely. Food is amazing, staff is super friendly and helpful. We love this place!
During my two-week stay in Jamul, I decided to revisit Filippi's Pizza Grotto, having enjoyed it previously in Little Italy back in 2019. Once again, it did not disappoint.
