VecchieOso Vineyard is the new place to visit! When thinking of wineries in San Diego, I always thought of Temecula. Now it is nice to have a closer option with this gem in the mountains of Jamul. They are also a part of the Wineries on Highway 94. We have been here for a few events: 3 art shows, live music, going to visit when new farm animals are born! If you can get on their Newsletter or Social Media, they go above and beyond to make unique and fun experiences for you to be involved in their community of wine lovers. There are snacks for purchase, but we also like to take up a late lunch to pair with their wine flights or a SpritzyOso and watch the view as the sun is setting. Looking forward to our next visit!
Nice family run winery. The owners were very friendly and helpful, scenic view, and the wine was great. Great location for wine tasting, plenty of seats and shade, cornhole, and you can feed their sheep and chickens. Try the spritzy-oso, very fruity and refreshing with a little sprig of rosemary.
I had the best time at this winery! The wines were fantastic—so many great options to choose from. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel right at home. What really set this place apart were the adorable sheep you can feed and pet—such a fun and unexpected bonus. Plus, there's this awesome view of a castle in the distance that made the whole experience feel a bit magical. Definitely a spot worth visiting!
We looked for a winery on Google, chose this one and did not regret it! ?
Not just hospitable hosts, but people who live on wine, and precisely in the craft volume (no industrial production).
We are from Russia, and are a little spoiled by European wines, but the hand-pressed wine amazed us!
For those who, by the will of fate, find themselves in San Diego, I highly recommend visiting! ??? You won’t regret it! ✊
Bob, thanks again! ?
Welcome to Russia! ✊✊✊
Owners are great people.
Super welcoming!
Highly recommend .
We stopped by and since it was cold and we were the only ones there the owners invited us inside for our tasting. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. For being a fairly new winery it is a great tasting. The outside space is setup for groups with sitting area and cornhole playing.
Owners/hosts are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with the wines. Beautiful location and scenery. A must stop for wine tasting!
Really enjoyed stopping by this winery. The customer service was fantastic, they really made you feel like you were part of the family. A group of my friends decided to do a day trip wine tour to Jamul and this was the winery that sealed the deal and made it most memorable. Their wine was unique and definitely stands out to the rest of the wine we tried in Jamul. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area or make it part of your day trip.
