I've been there many times. It's still as good as ever. My wife and I stayed there too.

We were looking forward to a lovely dinner but unfortunately, our steaks and pork chops came out raw.

I wanted to like this place a lot more than I did. The location was beautiful, though the ambiance of the restaurant itself was brought down by the noise and foot traffic from the adjoining resort. The primary problem was the food, though. Paying $60 for a ribeye, I expect it to be a good ribeye. Instead I got a cut of tough, under-seasoned meat with a salsa verde spread on top that did not go well with the flavors of the steak at all. The summer salad had corn nuts in it so hard they almost broke my teeth. All in all, it was trying hard to have an original and eclectic menu, at the cost of flavor and basic preparation.
The view is amazing, though, and walking around the grounds afterwards we took in a spectacular sunset and watched whales swimming near the shore. This part of the experience is definitely worthwhile.

Pretty space. Food is very good. Somewhat overpriced for what you get. Tables are much too small. We were juggling water, tea, salad. Very cramped. I would go back without hesitation if I'm in the area because the food is very well prepared.

Vegetarian options: Vegan would be difficult. Lacto-ovo there is a salad and a pasta dish. I'm sure they could suggest something.

Elevated, yet still casual, dining room in Timber Cove Resort. Sweeping Pacific Ocean views from patio seating or floor-to-ceiling windows.

California menu reflects influences Asian and Latin. Salmon Wings, grilled to perfection and topped with tangy miso sauce, an excellent and unique appetizer (though a bit salty).

Just 2 hrs drive from SF and for sure worth it. Beautiful spot and can become a secret place to stay when you want to get away and have amazing food with great service and staff. Thank you

Bland food and rude waitress. The only good thing is the drinks and view.

A really amazing place to visit. We stayed and ate here. The food was great and the staff was really attentive. However I felt either too old or not cool enough for some of the decor.

Having grown up with records and having a boomer dad with a ton of vinyl I don't actually like records and every room has a record player.

We felt the food we ordered was bland and overpriced for the quality provided. The receptionist of the hotel was very nice but the waiters decidedly less so.

Very good food. I had the oysters to start, followed by the lamb shank, and finished up with a creme brulee. Everything was excellent, the vibe was rustic and laid back, the service was amazing. Well worth the time if you happen to be in the area. The restaurant is attached to a resort and while we didn't stay there, the rooms look spacious and the views are incredible.

Food is sad and overpriced. We used to love coming here a couples time a year for the 5+ years pre-pandemic: great vibe, lovely food. Finally made it back with a big family group recently. The food execution was really subpar. Caesar salad was pre-cut romaine with croutons and they forgot the dressing. Fish and chips had thick soggy batter. Mussels dish was just meh shellfish plopped on a clunky stew. Edible, but not enjoyable, and therefore massively overpriced. We all agreed after lunch that were sadly unlikely to come back.

We have stayed at Timber Cove a few times now and the restored midcentury mod hotel feels like high end glamping and the staff is amazingly friendly/helpful.We stayed for my husband’s birthday last year and had a dog-friendly suite. I coordinated ahead of time to do a private room for a special birthday meal. For the special meal they allowed me to also bring in some special wine. The chef put together some offerings for us for the dinner and coursed it out. This year we were back for Thanksgiving. We ended up staying coincidently in the same exact suite, and Coast Kitchen had a special Thanksgiving menu. The food was good on our last visit but it was even better this time around. The chef has elevated the food experience a bit and it shows. I attached shots of our food from the dinner and the excellent Pinot we enjoyed from their wine offerings. I also included shots of the burger and chicken sandwich we had for a lunch one of the weekend days in the lobby / lounge area. The server we had for both of our dinners there was outstanding. She was attentive, made great recommendations, and was just the right mix of funny and professional. I can’t remember her name but she’s from Sea Ranch.Overall, if you are up along the Jenner to Sea Ranch area, this should be one of your dinning stops for a super casual lunch in the lounge or dinner in the dinning room.

A day trip on the coast. Making stops along Highway 1 to enjoy the views. Coast Kitchen is inside the Timber Cove Resort. Truly a special find. The restaurant has big windows facing the ocean. At sunset, the views are simply fantastic. The menu focuses on seafood. Still, there are land and vegi options. The atmosphere is simple and appropriate for a seaside eatery. The service was great. We selected halibut and squash with pasta. Oh my, what a treat. You pay a little more here. And, it's worth it. A wonderful finish to a beautiful day. Well worth a visit. We'll be back.
