Service was friendly and helpful but a little slow at times (too many tables and only one server?). Food was good: I had the smoked salmon - good portion lots of accompaniments; too many capers. Others had huevos rancheros and eggs Benedict. Both were good. The fresh orange juice and the coffee were very good. View out the window was great when the fog cleared. Would definitely recommend.

I recently dined at Coast Kitchen while staying at Timber Cove Resort, and it was a convenient, tasty option right on-site. The burger was a standout—juicy, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. As for the mussels, they were decent but nothing exceptional, a little too heavy on the white wine sauce; I wouldn’t say they’re a must-order. The ocean views and laid-back resort vibe made it a pleasant spot to grab a meal after exploring the coast. Service was friendly, though a bit slow at times. Overall, it’s a great stop if you’re staying there—solid food and prime location.

What a delightful place! The bar was beautiful, clean, and friendly. We were greeted warmly by Ximena and Brian. In fact, every staff member we spoke with was top notch. The dining room is simple but elegant. Avery took outstanding care of us. Her knowledge of the menu was super helpful.
We ordered:
Oysters
Salmon Wings
Smoked Trout Chowder
Smoked Rock Fish Rillettes
Veggie Cavatalli
Chocolate Espresso Cake
Strawberry-Rhubarb Cheesecake
The only negative with the food,(I'm super picky about this) was some of it needed more seasoning. A bit of salt and pepper made all the difference.
In the end, we took our coffee outside and sat watching the ocean.
We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.
Thanks to everyone for a great night.

Worst lunch I’ve had in years. Fish & Chips: the fish was beyond over-cooked, dark brown breading and dry fish inside. Burger ordered medium rare was overcooked, dry & tasteless. The French fries were good but we will never go back.

Been here many times, had a review up when it was Alexander’s years ago, and after sampling the new menus a few times, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not the food, it’s the menu. On a side note service was awesome. They have sourced great ingredients, but somehow have found a way to combine them in the worst way possible. For starters, there are zero items to draw comfort from. The ones people may commonly be familiar with, are paired with sides that do not complement the main components. It’s an out of the box experience no one asked for, and outside of that box is the wastelands of a horror movie. Seasoning is lackluster, no salt and pepper on the table to give a saving grace, and there’s no one piece of the dish that shines. Now for the specifics. Our table ordered from their new spring menu. We had the Smoked Trout Chowder, a salad, NY Steak, the Roast Chicken, Seared fish of some kind, coconut cream pie, and tiramisu. Chowder was good, best thing on the menu I’ve tried. The salad existed, no real flavor in the dressing. The NY steaks were extremely undercooked from the mid-rare that was asked for. The potatoes pavé, chard, and chimichurri were all lacking in seasoning by miles. The chimichurri was also incredibly stringy. The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned well, however the sides fell flat and add nothing to the dish. The fish and rice were once again unseasoned, and severely lackluster in any form of flavor. The tiramisu was decent, the coconut cream pie, should have just been a cream pie with a hint of coconut. If I had any recommendations on what to get there for dinner, it would probably be a reservation in Jenner because that would be your next closest restaurant. Oh and as a final note, the water glasses look like candle holders and are a complete joke. I’ll return when they get an actual chef again, and if the current head chef(s) is reading this; you have the tools, you’ve been provided a renewed kitchen, you have the access to the best ingredients, do better. I will update this if needed.

I missed my original plan to brunch at Café C'est La Vie on the way home and then found this lovely gem!
It is picturesque, and comfortable! The view is epic! The service was just absolutely on point solid burger.
And the bathrooms were extremely clean.
I have not been paid for this review. It was genuinely a great experience.
Thank you all at Coast Kitchen for the lovely visit. I will be back, Universe willing!

I waited outside for over 25 minutes with nobody to take my order. This is after I was told to sit anywhere and I specifically told them I’ll be outside. She said ok.
Waste of time.

We just stayed for the matcha, so I can’t comment on the food, but the vibes were so beautiful. The coastal energy was strong and we felt in awe of the natural beauty!

This restaurant was once great. It seems to have gone downhill over the years and we keep coming back sporadically wanting to relive what it used to be.
Brunches are meh, most dinner dishes are averagely executed. The cheese boards come with a ridiculously small amount of cheese (yes we know good cheese can be expensive, so maybe just raise the price and give a satisfying amount of cheese instead of symbolic tiny crumbs, because that's just ridiculous).
The only dish that we loved was the salmon wings. A fun, simple and brilliant dish that's so satisfying to eat. However they don't even think that it's necessary to provide any finger cleaning wipes for a dish meant to be eaten with your fingers...
The deserts were also average. The tiramisu one of the worsts we had in a while.

I wanted to like this place a lot more than I did. The location was beautiful, though the ambiance of the restaurant itself was brought down by the noise and foot traffic from the adjoining resort. The primary problem was the food, though. Paying $60 for a ribeye, I expect it to be a good ribeye. Instead I got a cut of tough, under-seasoned meat with a salsa verde spread on top that did not go well with the flavors of the steak at all. The summer salad had corn nuts in it so hard they almost broke my teeth. All in all, it was trying hard to have an original and eclectic menu, at the cost of flavor and basic preparation.
The view is amazing, though, and walking around the grounds afterwards we took in a spectacular sunset and watched whales swimming near the shore. This part of the experience is definitely worthwhile.
