Stopped here on two different visits to Joshua Tree, once in January and again in February of 2023. The first time I was surprised to learn they only serve drip coffee, iced coffee, and nitro coffee... But fine. A 16 oz iced coffee will run you $5 and change... If you want a cup of ice water, it will be another $1, but they cannot give you water because it's against health code... To give you two water... But they make coffee... And ice... So, not sure what's going on there.Long story short, I don't really get this place. Expensive. Not so friendly. Weird regulations... Just don't go here. Go across the street, or anywhere else.

$3,99 + tax for terrible coffee, not going back !!

Sometimes all you want is a simple sandwich, and this fit the bill perfectly for lunch between hikes in the park. Friendly service, too!

I wish i could give zero stars!!! This place needs to be shut down already... If you people were smart go to the Subway across the street it's cheaper ,fresher, better food with very fast and friendly employees ...also get your coffee from the gas station there it's stronger fresher and better those places will top the mediocre park Rock Cafe any day!!!!! Park Rock Cafe scams all the tourist that visit our beloved park without them charging those people 5x the price they would go under in a snap!!!! #subwayisbetter #besmartppl

Will not be going back. The breakfast sandwiches were okay but the coffee was horrible. My husband, son and I came in together, ordered 2 iced cappuccino and one hot chocolate. I only ordered the cappuccinos because I was looking for something strong but iced. The women assured me they could do it. Unfortunately after a 20+ minute wait I only recieved one coffee and the hot chocolate. We waited for our food, I figured the other coffee would be coming out as well. After finally getting the food, there was still no sign of the other coffee. The younger lady noticed I was still waiting and asked if I was waiting for something else. I told her about the other coffee and she quickly made it. I went to the counter to grab it and the older women behind the counter said I only ordered one. We spent 5 mins sitting there while they tried to find the order, once she found it she proceeded to tell me I needed to pay for the additional coffee. I said fine sy this point and then she said I would be charged a processing fee because it was under $10. I was obviously annoyed at this point, she then tells me she will wave the fee but I only ordered 1 coffee. First off I felt this was completely unprofessional to argue with a costumer in front of other patrons, second I came in with three people, I definetely ordered 3 drinks, the fact she wanted to shift the blame for her not listening to me was ridiculous. Also, the hot chocolate was way too hot. My son let it sit for 15 mins before trying to drink it and it still burnt his tongue to the point he started tearing up. I will never go back. The younger lady was sweet but the old women behind the counter should find another position.

We decided to stop by while we were visiting the visitor's center. The food was good but not great. The food is a little expensive and the facility really needs an update. Service was alright. The location is great, if the food was better it would be perfect.

Nice place for an early morning fuel up before heading in the park.

I really want to give this place a good review; the coffee was solid and the food was decent. We spent several days at Joshua tree park and came out for coffee three days in a row, which means something is working here. But something happened between the cashier and the cook each time we got food. Coffees were forgotten, the cheese was wrong, our side of salad needed prompting and finally my breakfast sandwich didn't have avocado on it when I specifically ordered it FOR THE AVOCADO. It's so close but so far, and after that many mistakes I feel I need to warn you. Check your food before you leave if you take it to go, and don't ask for any special orders, because these girls get confused.

Great place to visit for a day to two days. Driving around within the park is really quick and convenient. Campsites book really fast. Cottonwood campgrounds ideal for viewinf the night sky. Trails are mostly easy. Carry sun protection-sunscreen, caps, dark glasses and plenty of water. Sighted a bighorn sheep at Barker Dam!
