“For sure try and get an inside seat, the ambiance is to die for. Super cute and exactly what you want to experience in Joshua tree. Order the double deuce, pancakes, hash browns, bacon, and eggs. Giving classic American breakfast, it was enough for me and my gf but if u was hungry enough i could probably have it all my self. The pancakes are HUGE”
“Food was splendid and kids loved the inter active show of making ? by themselves. Definitely will come here when visiting Joshua park again.???Kid-friendliness: The workers provided the kids an interactive show allowing them to make their own pizza, and also provided cookies.”
“This place is amazing. Fresh food to go, and they’ll even make many sandwiches on the spot. Like a cozy little bodega. I wish they’d open more locations in the high desert!Parking: Shares a parking lot with the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center.”
“Stopped in a couple of times to grab an iced latte and hot latte. The place is always packed and I understand why. Their drinks are very good. Keep up the good work!”
“Solid breakfast and good service. The vibe is kind of chaotic, so know that going on. My only complaint is I wish they had made the bacon crispy before putting it into my order of Mike's Mess.”
“Had the most lovely breakfast this morning at the Food for Thought Café. The tofu scramble had a great scrambled egg consistency and the potatoes and soup of the day were well seasoned and fresh. The espresso also hit the spot while my friend and I dined in low, comfy chairs basking in the morning sun. The staff was kind and welcoming from the beginning to end of our visit.”
“What a find! Sam’s was a surprise gem amongst the standard burger joints in the area. The food was great, the atmosphere relaxing. We tried the pizza and it did not disappoint! They took extra special care for our special occasion and I would hands down go back there again and recommend it to anyone in the area. The homemade mango ice cream is NOT TO BE MISSED, I’d go back to Joshua Tree just for the ice cream!!! Thank you for making our night!”
“Good food, great portions, & quick service. Serves breakfast, lunch for eating in & to go orders. Jorge's is located on the Copper Mountain College campus. Stop by your try for yourself!”
“The pizza is delicious and great service, the atmosphere is family friendly they have a small arcade and a couple TV's. So far everything we have tried has been yummy!”
“We have gotten sandwiches from this location twice and both times we got excellent service from Doc. He is friendly and excellent at making sandwiches. We are Vegan and order veggie sandwiches and believe me when I say that Doc makes our sandwiches taste amazing with his portions and sandwich making style. Thanks Doc!”
“Excellent food and such a sweet caring small family business. Not sure why there’s negative reviews based on looks of the building that they do not own. My wife and I got a variety of food and every bit of it was on point. Would definitely eat here again.”
“This was an absolutely amazing meal! We both got burgers and they were spectacular; best we’ve had in a long time. Mac & cheese and sweet potato fries were great too.Took a bit to get our food but we expected that because it was packed. The only downside were the obnoxious kids next to us (tables were a foot apart), but the food made up for it!”
“What a well oiled machine of a cafe. I'm in awe at JT Coffee for being able to handle the raucous crowd of annoying city people making it look like Starbucks in there. The last time I visited, I was the only city folk braving the sweltering 113° of desert Summer but this past St. Patty's weekend was cutsie pootsie sweater weather and you bet your butts it was busy AF. It almost ruined my romantic vision of the desert being this idyllic place removed from the city -- yeah, big face palm for me now that social media ruined all that was sacred. Without further disruption, the coffee here is great. I'm not a latte girl so I can't vouch for all you sugarcoated peeps but I bought two bags of whole bean and a cold brew for the road and they get my coffee master stamp of approval. While you're here, do head to Sky High Pie and get the veggie quiche!”
“Our family stopped by after a long day of hiking. The quesadilla and taquitos were excellent, and the service was friendly, loading us up with salsa cups to go. This was a great meal to enjoy on the back porch of our desert bnb.”
“Food is 10/10. The most gluten free-friendly place I've ever been to. Staff was great and happy to help with anything... except the hostess. I'm sure we are not the first to complain about her. People around us were also shocked with how she was speaking to us and the people before us. She does not fit in with the rest of the vibe. She was unbelievably rude and dismissive. Her replies were unprofessional and purposefully unhelpful. She hated being there and we almost left, honestly. I'm glad we stuck through her attitude and we enjoyed the meal but she should not be front of house. (Visited 3/30/24)”
“The ricotta & broccolini focaccia was absolutely to die for. Wow. Friendly staff and quick service too. Picked up some plain focaccia for dipping too. Can’t wait to try it!”
“Don't let the plain appearance of this restaurant fool you, the food here is excellent. I am a huge fan of Middle Eastern cuisines and have eaten them all around the world, and this one is top notch. Plus there is something so rewarding knowing that you are helping an family from Jordan succeed in the States. But let there be no question: the best reason to come here is the great food at totally reasonable prices.”
““we take pride in working with small farms, butchers, fishermen, and independent producers. we take the best product we can get, and craft it with care to share with our guests” — headlining their menu, I can confidently say this statement is accurate. Like a scene out of the 60s, somehow a scene that belongs in the Big Lebowski… I’m pretty sure I saw the “The Stranger” watching the live band from a corner table. The drinks, food, and atmosphere were impeccable. Best burger I’ve ever had.Incredible appetizers.Perfect drinks. The bartender even gave us drinks on the house because it took longer than normal. Just awesome in every way.Words won’t do this place justice!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns available.”
“Incredible pizza, great drinks, & a really cozy space. Really appreciated vegan options & the ability to easily veganize many pizzas on the menu! Staff was really kind and helpful.”
“The oatmeal wasn’t very good, not very many blueberries. the sprouts in the avocado toast were going bad and tasted funky but besides that it was good! Very good quick service. No espresso, only drip coffee.”
“This place was incredible!! Excellent sushi for any area, we are from San Diego and eat sushi often and will be coming here every time we come to the area. Good portions of fish, amazing rolls, and their kimchi was also delicious. I'm so glad I saw the other great reviews and decided to come here. Amazing experience and really kind people.”
“I'm from Chicago and I know really good pizza. And they had a really solid pie there. I'd rate it like 8/10 . Very good pizza for California and very fresh ingredients.”
“So so yummy! Very fast and friendly service. Plenty of seating arrangements inside and out. VERY spacious. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. They even have a condiment and utensil station for those who need extra! This place is very casual and laidback for those who want to read a book, eat breakie and drink coffee. Prices are very affordable! I honestly prefer this over the Joshua coffee shop. You can never go wrong with a simple, yet comforting cafe like this. Thank you!!!”
“People working here were super nice and worked so hard to get people seated and served. It was my favorite place we ate at in our week here on vacation. The fried chicken sandwich was yummy and they put it on sourdough like we wanted. The salad I got as a side was fresh and crisp. I wish they had been open for dinner, We needed dinner places. Would go back if I lived here.”
“After visiting Joshua Tree National Park, I looked for a place to have dinner on my way back to LA. I didn't expect there to be a Korean restaurant nearby, but I searched for a Korean restaurant nearby, so I came to the restaurant with some hesitation. The food is oh so delicious. I was very disappointed with the Korean restaurant in LA Hanta (too salty and insincere), but this place is delicious even though it's not sweet and salty. It's hard to make food taste good without it being sweet or salty. Would you say that you felt relieved after a week of travelling? It's a traditional Korean food that tastes like home cooking without much flavor. The owner greeted me and gave me a bag of Crayon Shin-chan and Sora snacks for my child. The restaurant has a snack bar-like atmosphere but is clean. They also sell chicken and bungeoppang.I had squid rice bowl, bibimbap, and kimchi fried rice. All three were plentiful and delicious. I also packed tteokbokki and ate it at the hotel, and it was delicious even though it was cold.I didn't have any intention of reviewing it, so I took a picture while I was eating. This is my first time leaving a review. I hope that the owner's business goes well and that it becomes a famous Korean restaurant in Yucca Valley. I live overseas and not in Korea, so it's hard to get this much flavor at a Korean restaurant overseas, but the owner's sincerity is evident in the food. I really recommend it.”
“-looks like nothing on the outside but looks like a PARTY on the inside.-food was MAGNIFICIENT-service was very meh - had to flag down service and wait despite the restaurant not being busy at all - maybe just weekday mid-afternoon vibes?”
“Excellent crust, great overall taste, not over priced, and an awesome atmosphere with the music and menu theme. The table was even freshly wiped down, and drink and silverware set in place upon ordering. I've had pizza all over this Country, and mostly in the tri-state NY area, and I would definitely come here again. Great job, and a nice surprise meal. Thank you.”
“My favorite place in the high desert for pizza (and the only place that does Neapolitan style). Great, fresh ingredients, solid prices. Staff is always courteous, happy to help and quick with orders. Plus, there's a pool table if you order take-out and need to wait.”
“We love this place Julio is the best. They really need to open A place in twenty nine Palms.Parking: If you've never ate here try it is a great family diner.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes”
“Happy to find a vegan pigs in a blanket over the camping weekend! Prices in the desert are high, expect $6/croissant but a tasty spot- this cafe has a bunch of bagel or sandwich options and to-go packaged foods/drinks. Good quiche today!”
