Fantastic Wine and Winemakers. London Mark was fun too. We’ll be back🍷
Arrived just after they locked up. And they were kind enough to unlock and pour me a glass of petit Syrah. Which is just as bold and dry as promised (and the clear lavender tones are a surprise and a delight). I almost missed stopping here. Don’t. Perfect end to a perfect day.
We loved spending a rainy afternoon at Blue Door! Cameron was wonderful and having her beautiful pup, Oliver, snuggled up next to us as we sipped the hot spiced wine was just the best way to spend a cold day in Julian. Thank you, we will definitely be back 💕
Very eclectic and charming place. The owners are great and can not say enough about the great wines we had there. A definite must go to place when you are in Julian. We will be back soon.
A quick stop for a wine refill before dinner. Great deals and a warm, cozy atmosphere!
They have 3 Linda of wine for wine tasting, 5 pours for $20. We also tried the sangria and blueberry cider.
Parking is street parking and availability is depends on the day of the week.
This is the best sangria my wife has ever tasted! Great price on growlers and bottles. Y'all get yourself over here.
If you ever find yourself in a tiny little town looking for the most delicious apple pie (because you saw it on IG) please, please, please, stop by Blue Door Winery. They have the most delightful, warm, in your cup mulled wine. Or grab their Sangria, I implore you . Kam and Marc top it off by welcoming you into their little slice of paradise. Oh and bring your dog... they're treated better than people are.
The world needs more Kameron!
Made another visit this weekend while we stayed overnight in Julian. Couldn’t decide between their delicious Sangria or their new Pinot Noir. Went with the Pinot and was not disappointed. Light for a Pinot but loved it. A nice light summer drinking red. Always a pleasant visit at the Blue Door.
This place was incredible! Not only was the sangria absolutely delicious, (you know I got a growler to go!) the customer service was top notch! Cameron and Marc are so inviting and attentive and the service that we received made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond when I left my purse back at our table and once I realized Cameron had already contacted me and ensured that my purse was mailed back to me the very next day so I wouldn't have to make the 2 hr drive back. I am so extremely grateful that I had the pleasure of meeting this amazing couple. The world needs more people like this!!! We will definitely be going back and recommending this winery to everyone we know!!!

Come for the delicious wine and sangria…stay to snuggle Oliver…
They have the best sangria! It’s a cute place to meet up with friends. I recommend stopping in and trying the sangria.
My mom and I went here today for my moms first time and my third. I love it here but today today was the best experience I’ve ever had a winery. Not only were Mark and Cameron gracious, inviting and offering red wine to die for but we were treated like family. My mom and I suffered a huge loss this April and needed to escape the grief for a little while. Cameron sat down with us and lent an ear and a shoulder to cry on. We cried we laughed we sipped wine in front of a nice warm fire and we had a loving caring human moment. Thank you Cameron and Mark we needed today more than we could express. We can’t wait to come back.
I love this winery in Julian. Julian is a beautiful town especially during the fall and apple season. The Blue Door Winery is very unique. It does not make white wine. They make complex sophisticated red wine in small batches. This allows them to be very selective in how they want their wine to taste. Their end product is distinct, superior yet elegant. I believe their wines are a must have in any wine cellar.
We walked up a few minutes after closing, not paying attention to what time it was. The two owners were closing up and were literally on their way out but let us buy two glasses of sangria anyways. They were so kind and hospitable, and their dog is so adorable as well. The sangria was great!!
