Julian has some of the best food out there, very underrated in my opinion. After years of eyeing Jeremy’s, my partner and I decided to give it a try. Immediately we could tell we were in good hands, every staff member was quite friendly and helpful. Upon seeing the menu, we already were impressed with the variety of options. No matter what the budget, patrons can find delicious and high quality options. It took a while to decide because everything sounded so good. My husband got a whiskey with bitters, I got a glass of chardonnay; my husband was even asked if the bitters were to his liking. I cannot stress enough how attentive our server was. As an appetizer, we opted for the truffle garlic fries; OMG amazing and very unique. For dinner, I got the chicken schnitzel and my husband got the rib eye; we both were wowed. Food was so good we ate until we were stuffed and had no room for dessert. Needless to say it was an excellent choice to come here.

Unexpected delight! I stayed in Julian for one night, right next door as it turned out so we walked in :-) Quaint room they set us in front of the (fake but with nice hot blower on a cold night) fireplace. Service was attentive and positive attitude. Food was unexpectedly delicious. We had the fried avocado that was perfectly green in the middle with oversized crispy yet moist and flaky beer batter. Lobster bisque didn't have lobster in it but I was one of the best I've had (and I'm from New England), seriously flavorful and delicious! My son who is mostly vegetarian had a burger because it was purported to be grass-fed and he really enjoyed it which is rare. I had the fish and chips (local halibut) which was again very surprising, I exclaimed to my son that it was the best I've had since the Crab Shack at Neah Bay in Washington State which is a huge statement! Perfect white fish, a different beer batter than the avocados, very fresh tasting flaky yet moist. We both found the fries competent but not special though we finished them :-) I wished I had tried the salmon which I was not certain about but based on the dishes we had I'm certain will be wonderful and I will the next time! The salad garnishes were also thoughtfully prepared including some of the best pickled onions I've ever had! They have what I believe was a homemade spicy aioli great for the fried food. Creme brulee was unfortunately lackluster, not hot enough and nothing to write home about but other than that the food was The best I've had in my dozen trips to Julian, by a long shot! It's a small room and can get loud if there's a group enjoying themselves, but could be considered romantic and in my opinion hey Gem hidden in plain sight :-)

Balance+perfection+quality+happinessJeremy’s on the Hill is a perfect example of balance and quality of a great CHEF! I have been to a lot of places but never have I had the perfect balance of food+wine+atmosphere+presentation+quality+++++ I definitely recommend this place if you are in the mood for a peaceful relaxing evening on a date night or even a girls weekend trip! You can stay minutes away at a bed in breakfast and have a nice meal cooked to perfection paired with a 90+ point wine. Lacy is a great server!

We couldn't be more local, so it is a shame this place is so damn expensive and not at all worth the expense.We dined here with family after good friends bought us a giftcard here. Even with the card, we were hesitant to go because my experience coming in in person to make a reservation was itself unpleasant. I waltzed in just as they opened one weekday afternoon and the chef acted as if it was a considerable beneficent feat to find a spot for a table of four a week out from then.My food and wine was enjoyable but my husband found his meat bland and tough. I kinda like the low light thing, but it was actually so dark it was hard to read the menus. While we ate a couple came in with a barking dog and instead of telling them that pets are not allowed in dining rooms or making these entitled idiots sit outside, we had to listen to a dog bark for half the meal.

Don't sleep on this place. We stopped in for a Valentines Dinner while we were up here thinking it would be a nice stop. It was so much more than nice. The food was PHENOMENAL!!! Everything was prepared to perfection. The setting is quaint for a mountain hideaway. And the service was excellent! Our server, Lacey, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and sweet. I'll definitely be back when I'm in these neck of the woods. It's a gem in the mountains. With 5 ? plates.
