First, I'd like to to thank Frank and Lori for their kindness and friendliness - they are blessings to mankind!

The food, incredible; I had the hillbilly, my wife had the chili cheese dog, son had the EBC, daughter had the breakfast burrito and my youngest daughter had the Philly cheese steak... The portions were so generous, we stayed longer to attempt to finish them while some had to take it to go. Family favorite drink was mine - cinnamon dirty chia

The cars theme is super impressive, staying consistent throughout the restaurant. There's a few games scattered around that increased the nostalgic vibes.

Highly recommend if you're alone and want to get away to some place relaxing with positive vibrations or if you're with the family and want something entertaining and delicious for the entire family.

Our recent visit to the Pit Stop Café was deeply disappointing, especially considering its reputation as a family-friendly, Cars-themed spot. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but welcoming for families.
As we were preparing to leave; literally standing up and packing up our newborn and toddler, a man working there abruptly asked us to leave because “the line was out the door.” We were already on our way out, so the request felt not only unnecessary but incredibly rude. To make matters worse, he approached my spouse afterward to say “not to take it personally,” which only added to the disrespect. If anything, he should have read the room, we were clearly gathering our things and heading out.
Despite the child-centric décor, this café is not family friendly. There were no high chairs available, which is surprising for a place themed around a kids’ movie. We were fortunate to have brought our own booster seat. On top of that, they had no public restrooms, and staff simply said it was “out of order.” For families with young kids, that alone is a major inconvenience.
The food itself was mediocre at best. My breakfast burrito with bacon was nothing memorable, and my partner’s avocado toast was as basic as it gets. The coffee was watery and bland. Honestly, the only thing worth seeing is the Cars artwork outside everything else falls flat.
To be fair, most of the staff were friendly throughout our visit. But being pushed out at the end, while the table next to us who had been sitting just as long was never asked to leave and remained there after we were gone, made the whole situation feel inconsistent and unfair.
Overall, I cannot recommend the Pit Stop Café. The exterior theming may draw you in, but the lack of family accommodations, no functioning restrooms, mediocre food, and the rude treatment as we were leaving make it a place I would not return to. The only real reason to stop here is to take a quick photo of the Cars artwork and keep moving.

Their biscuits and gravy was absolutely delicious and my wife and daughter love the breakfast burrito. Im a local and wanted to try them out and im glad I did because I now crave their food n drinks. Calling in a to-go order is sometimes an issue so hopefully that gets worked out but this is by far my favorite place to eat and they will be seeing me every weekend for breakfast. Don't hesitate to stop here and give em a try because I promise this place will become your new spot to eat and chill.

Such a fun atmosphere! The owner is so friendly, and the food/beverages are amazing. With the Cars theme outside and the service inside, its the perfect place to stop on your trip into or out of Julian.
