We're starting to have a small family tradition of stopping here for my son's birthday. This is our 2nd time here and the food is amazing. We haven't tried everything but the pub burger is delicious. The fries are on another level! Crispy, crunchy, and we'll seasoned! The to-go service is quick and easy. See you next year!

Got there with my small son & wife. Was very difficult to get an order in. Told the waitress (brown hair, glasses) that I was ready to order in a very audible tone of voice. Literally walked away and got on her cell phone. My wife, son, and I just got up and left. I've heard great things about this place. It's a shame I couldn't try it.

Have stopped here several times in the last 2 years. Usually a great experience. Not so much this time. Really terrible, super salty wings ($14)were rapidly replaced with excellent Fish & chips ($23). Tri-tip beef sandwich (no longer smoked tri-tip(?), just pot roast) was OK. No sides included($16). No pork belly sandwich either? Generous servings but a bit spendy. Good selection of craft beers ($8?) and some wines available. Excellent service from entire staff. Place was freezing cold so we had to go get coats out of the car. Small store attached to buy waters, snacks, pies, etc.

The smoked wings were really good. Much better than fried. However they were really salty so you may want to ask to have them tossed in less seasonings. Also, the numbers next to the wine like 21 and 22 are the years, not the prices haha. Fooled me

Loved the beer chili but it was the worst service, portions, and the rest of the food was a joke. I understand the automatic 20 percent tip added to a group of 6 or more so no complaints on that. We asked for our drinks and nothing was brought together and we never received water. The food had no salt or seasoning (Burgers) the kids meal (hot dog) was terrible. The bun was so hard and gross that I can probably use it as a bat, maybe they left the bag open and the bread got stale. The shareable chili beer fries were so small that even the kids meal was bigger the price was ridiculous high. When we tried to ask for help the guy waiter completely ignored us and helped other tables and even when we went up front we still didn't get any help. We come fishing at the lake so often and never came to eat until this past saturday. Never coming to eat here again no matter how hungry I am. It's a beautiful view to have a drink outside though. Don't order any food please, you'll save yourself a headache.

Stopped by on my way into Julian. Was met with a very warm welcome. Ordered the Nickel Lake Cuyamaca Lager and it was super tasty. Then I got the basket of garlic tots as an appetizer. Best tots I’ve ever had. Nice and crispy and the garlic wasn’t overwhelming! For my main, I got the tri tip sandwich. My goodness… meat was so tender. Flavor was great. Finished off with a nice slice of apple pie with cheddar. Sounds a little odd, but was actually quite nice. That sweet and savory played off each other well!
Everyone who helped was super nice and gave great service! The manager, Tristan, who came and checked on me was super nice and helpful and really fun to talk to !
All in all… would stop by again and recommend to anyone heading in that area!!

Really enjoyed The Pub at Lake Cuyamaca. The menu is nice, & they offer really tasty appetizers; definitely recommend the giant pretzel; It’s enough to share with 2-3 people. The wings are fantastic; great rub, smoked on site, & add the garlic-parmesan coating for the ultimate taste treat. Good assortment of beer, wine, & non-alcoholic beverages. They have a great deck overlooking the lake, but it was a little too chilly/windy for my husband when we arrived to sit out. It did warm up later, so the deck would be my choice. The service was very good: fast & friendly. Prices were fair for what you got. I definitely recommend you give The Pub a try. It’s a short drive from Julian, if you’re up for a night or two, (8-9 miles) on a not too winding road. Really glad we made the visit!
Parking: Parking in front is limited, but there is a large lot down behind with a ramp for accessing the Pub. The ramp goes right to the entrance, so makes it wheelchair accessible. It is a little steep, so recommend not doing it in a regular wheelchair alone. A power chair would be fine.
