Chili Rellenos were the bomb. Perfect balance (rock?) of cheese and breading. Very friendly/homey atmosphere. Great prices. It's hard to find reasonably priced AND good food in the Eastern Sierra, but these guys nailed it.

Came here for the high reviews.
Coming from the Bay Area, I don’t have a high standard when it comes to tacos since we don’t have a lot of choices, not like if you’re from around LA. So I ordered some tacos based on J C’s review and boy I was not impressed at all. I have had better mouth watering tacos in the Bay Area.
One thing I have observed though is that whoever is not your server, they will likely ignore you or be less attentive.
So far the whole experience wasn’t disappointing and the chips and guac was pretty good.
The restroom was also clean and tidy which is not always the case in all restaurants.

This place is wonderful. Amazing homemade food, great service, and atmosphere. Been here numerous times and it’s always a great experience. I would absolutely recommend this place! Margarita’s are good too!

I was shocked to find food this good, on a random avenue in the small town of June Lake. I’m from San Diego and my standards for tacos/chips are high, but this place knocked it out of the park. The service was kind and efficient; my order was ready quickly; and the food was excellent. I had carne asada and al pastor tacos with a side of chips and salsa. All of it was delicious, the Al pastor was my favorite. The chips were so fresh and stayed crunchy for multiple days, which was very impressive. Highly recommend this spot! I would just suggest turning the music down a tiny bit, the mariachis were a lil overwhelming when I first walked in ?

This place is a GEM in the Eastern Sierra. It's hard to find quality Mexican food in this part of California, and Balanced Rock really does it. The food is authentic and delicious, the prices are reasonable for the area, and the staff are friendly. If you're spending time in June Lake, or even passing through, this place is worth it. My new favorite restaurant on the East Side.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Service was prompt and polite, and the gentleman who owns the restaurant provided our party with useful suggestions. We barely sat without food; a minute after we ordered, we were brought a heaping pile of house-made tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa (on the house). Ten minutes later our food arrived. Fresh, authentic, and delicious.

The couple that runs this place are super friendly, the restaurant has a homey, small town feel. The food is outstanding, clearly homemade, and not expensive. I had the Asada tacos and they were delicious. I really appreciated the homemade refried beans. Also the complimentary salsa and chips were fire!!
