I wish we could turn the clock back, as this was once a thriving restaurant that my family enjoyed for so many years! Maybe someday it will sprout a new life!

My wife and I have been visiting CPI for over 25 years. In that time we have experienced many ups and downs. It's very difficult to maintain a consistent labor force in such a small and relatively isolated town. That being said,,, Thanks to the Management, Talent and Work Ethic of Angela in the dining room, our experience was simply excellent! We visited twice in four days, because it was so good. Our first visit, we ordered the Prime Rib and Trout, the second visit we went with the Filet and Fried Chicken. All four entrees were spot on, with a fresh loaded baked potato, soup and "cold plate" fresh, crisp salad. All Business'/ Restaurants are a reflection of their management and the personalities, talents & dedication of the frontline staff. Our experience was SO memorable due to Angela's warm personality, attention to detail and her ability to multitask. Also, a big shoutout to her behind the scene's staff as well! "The Kitchen is Clickin!!" Carson Peak Inn is a great choice for dinner while staying in June!

A quaint old world feeling dining establishment. Great cabin ambiance. Fairly good menu and wine list for a small out of the way resort. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend has been talking about this place for 2 years. Last year they were closed for remodeling. This year we were in luck and they were open. My boyfriend had lobster and halibut—it was fabulous. I had the fritter battered prawns. Delicious! Really impressed with the homemade croutons, too. Service was spot on. Will return next year.

Food taste great, customer service for our pick-up order was great. The only issues we had was that we were told it came with a side order but it wasn't packed in our bags. Also, the website menu prices are not what the actual price we had to pay once we ordered.

Nice restaurant but the food could use more seasoning. Had to try it since I kept hearing about there steaks, sadly it didn't live up to the hype. Waitress was very friendly thats pretty much why i gave it any stars.

I've been going to Johnny Mc Nalleys in Kernville for decades, a place where you can cut your steak with a fork, thought this place would be comparable. Sadly, no... the decor, yes, very nice inside, don't let the outside fool you. However the service was okay, just okay. Our server I got the impression, either new or scared, yep she seemed frightened of us.. ??? Two of us four ordered fried chicken, both said it was outstanding, though the chicken came out with the two steak dinners, though only half an order, the two chicken people had to share one order, then had to wait 30 minutes for the other chicken plate to come out. Steaks were tough, especially for a filet. 300.oo dollars four meals, no.. not worth it... we won't be back.

This was our first visit to the Carson Peak Inn, we didn’t know what to expect. It was delicious! Everything was really great! From the service, homemade croutons, garlic bread and the Classic ambience. We had the sirloin steak and it was cooked perfectly, seasoned deliciously, served with the best fried zucchini we have ever had, even the baked potato was so good! We also had the fried chicken which was crispy, flavorful and delicious! We will be back to try the Prime Rib!!!!

I read the bad reviews, thats a bummer, I have been going here since they opened in the 60's, I have never had a bad meal here. Over the years the wait staff changes, sometimes its not up to par but they try. Overall its 5 stars, excellent food and cozy dining, I love it, nothing shabby about it!!!! So glad they are back open!!!!!!!!

We have been coming to the Carson Peak Inn since 1980. It's a throwback to a bygone era. The ambiance is old hunting lodge which I find relaxing and enjoyable. Linen Tablecloths, homemade bread and great service. They have a great menu, and a large portion menu also. I've had the steaks, pork chops and the ribs. I have never been disappointed in any of them. My wife loves the butterfly trout. The bake potato and salads are great. Just beer and wine, no hard liquor. Give them a try, they will make you feel like a visiting old friend for dinner.
