There probably aren't a lot of casual sit-down, service-style restaurants in June Lake, but this one is definitely good. It's in a remote place, so service will understandably be slow in the slow months (winter and spring). Still, food has always been great when I've gone for both breakfast and dinner. Wait staff have been great too. Location has some incredible views.

The previous reviews were a little harsh in my opinion. Had a delicious dinner with my business partner, we both had the salmon and it was prepared perfectly. With some nice grilled vegetables. For appetizer I had the Texas style grilled cheese and Tomato soup, definitely recommend this one.You can’t beat the view and excellent customer service our waiter was very nice and friendly.

This is a beautiful restaurant at Double Eagle Resort where we have stayed twice now. I love the rustic look of the cabins and restaurant. The first time we ate here, I had the vegetarian curry & added chicken. The chicken was very dry, but otherwise the flavor was pretty good. Since I don't even remember what I had at the most recent visit, it must not have been especially good. Both times we ate here, the room was cold - even though the first time was in August. Probably due to all the windows which also let you see the beautiful outdoors. The service is good and most recently when I went I had a cast on my leg, so they seated us near the door.

We ate here for dinner and breakfast, both were excellent! My daughter had the pasta Alfredo which was amazing and I had the burger, delicious! For breakfast I had breakfast egg, bacon, bagel which was more like a croissant/bagel and so good! My daughter had the breakfast burrito, also tasty. I highly recommend it. The staff was amazing and service couldn't be beat.

Came here for Thanksgiving dinner, the menu looked great, but the food unfortunately was not good (cold ribs, cold mash potatoes, etc.) and they charged $65 per person without drinks. The dinning room is really nice so maybe we just got unlucky. On any case, I wouldn't recommend it.

Everyone working was super nice and friendly. We went for both lunch and dinner. We got the spicy garlic chicken wings, salmon, and ribeye, all were super delicious! Will definitely be coming back in the future!

Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Good suggestions on food and drinks. Reasonable prices. Food selection good and cooked well. Views of forest were incredible. Will definitely return.Restaurant was very clean and the bathroom's hot water was immediate which means employees use hot water to wash hands.

We stopped by on a drive around the June Lake Loop. I had seen ads for this place for years and hoped to try it out. We had to wait a bit to get seated. As the wait staff explained they were short-staffed, slammed at lunch time and had to take everyone in turn. One of the staff said they'd get our order in as quickly as possible. Sure enough we were eating within minutes. It was tasty and the views were incredible. Will return for a dinner or other meal!

I was skeptical due to the reviews regarding the service at this restaurant, but there's not many choices in town especially some other places are closed throughout winter starting before first snow. We got here without reservation for a group of 15, in our exotic car drive group. There's ample parking available for us out front, and the restaurant ground was very pretty, small trails and creeks and lovely trees with colored foliage at this time of the year. There's around 4 tables of guests when we arrived. When we checked in the manager was a bit nervous due to the number of people, but we waited a reasonable amount of time before being sat (I believe it was around 10-15 min). Once sat the waiter told us he's the waiter, food prep and dishwasher as well, so we know there's prob only 3 guys running this whole operation. We were served waters and drinks within a reasonable time frame (5-7 minutes?). The food took probably around 20 minutes but we seriously thought that's a win for a big table. The food's delicious and the portion is big, and well priced. The mountain view from the main dining hall was breathtaking, plus the architecture was a mountain cabin so it was the perfect setting for this location. Out back there's more trees and some nice landscape. When it came time for the bill, it was quick. It couldnt have turned out any better for us, we had a great time and rest here and carried on the rest of our 1100 mile trip back home. Great location as it's minutes away from the serenity of the nearby lakes. I suspect the reviews are mostly regarding the dinners at this place, where there's more people and even shorter on staff. We had a great experience here

This place was an Oasis in the middle of a cultural desert. We were so happy we found this place. It has a relaxed, mountain cabin feel. The service was great, only beaten by the fantastic food. I would very highly recommend this place to have dinner.
