My husband and I always make it a point to stop here for a pizza whenever we visit Mammoth. Not only is the pizza great, so is the service. Shoutout to Maribel for her outstanding customer service.

Pretty decent pizza. Fast service. Friendly staff. A little hard to get on the phone so make sure you give yourself enough time to call a few times to get through. Take out only?

The size of a Medium pie is the size of a small pie. My bf & I were able to finish our 8 slices pie with no hesitation.

While we waited for our pie, we went to T-Bar (downstairs). The host/ bartender seemed annoyed/ short, but we gave her a generous tip to hopefully lighten her spirit.

Want a Legendary Pizza in June Lake? This Is It.

Picture this. You are hungry. Like,
“I just drove seven hours, have not eaten all day, and my stomach is about to start its own protest”
hungry. You roll up to June Pie Pizza Co. in June Lake. The second you walk in, you get hit with that glorious smell. Crispy crust, melting cheese, and just a hint of garlic floating in the air. It is like every good pizza memory you have ever had just punched you in the soul.

Let’s talk crust. This is not your average pizza base. I am dead serious. The undercarriage is so crisp it deserves its own movie. I grew up watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and used to think, “There is no way pizza looks that good in real life.”

But this is it. Dave Portnoy would probably hand out an eight point seven without even blinking. Every bite? Crunchy, chewy, never soggy, and absolutely loaded with flavor.

What did we try?
Everything we could. Massive pepperoni slices that somehow do not overwhelm the pie. Just pure pizza science at work. The cheese pizza, stacked with mozzarella, looked a little wild at first, but it absolutely stole the show when we bit in. And the veggie pizza, boosted with the meat lovers delight? Unreal. It is the pizza combo you never knew you needed.

Did I mention we ate here three separate times during a single week?
I am talking eight large pizzas, four mediums, and way too much Coca Cola. When a place makes you abandon all vacation plans just to eat more pizza, you know it is next level.

Everyone in the reviews says the garlic knots are a must. If you do not order them, you are playing yourself. Next trip, I am making a beeline for those. The Margherita pizza gets rave reviews too. People say it is a slice of actual heaven.

But here is where June Pie Pizza Co. hits different. The people. The pizza guy actually asked how we liked our pie, gave recommendations, and made us feel like we were part of the family. That is not normal. Most spots just hand you your food and dip. Here, you get real mountain town hospitality.

The inside is tight. New York City pizza vibes, for sure. Everyone is hanging out, swapping stories, laughing. There is a little patio out back with mountain views, a tiny bar, and even a stage for live music. I dare you to find a better sunset spot for a pizza dinner. And yes, you can bring your dog. Dogs get the best seat in the house.

The Most Important Questions:
• What should you order?
Get the pepperoni and cheese. Add garlic knots, trust me. If you skip the Margherita, do not tell anyone.
• Is it worth the wait?
Absolutely. Worth every second. If it is busy, just know something great is coming your way.
• Why does everyone love this place?
It is the mix of perfect pizza, friendly people, and a mountain view that makes you never want to leave.

Pro Tips for Pizza Lovers:
• Arrive early. The best stuff sells out, and you do not want to be the sad person watching someone else eat the last slice.
• The outdoor patio is pure magic at sunset. Do not sleep on it.
• Ask questions. The pizza makers love sharing their favorites.

Final Verdict:
If you come to June Lake and skip June Pie Pizza Co., I literally cannot help you. This is the best pizza in June Lake, hands down. It is the spot that will ruin all other pizza for you. Get in, eat way too much, and thank yourself for listening to some random review on the internet. Now go live your best pizza life.

Great gluten free pizza. We got the pepperoni and it was so flavorful. We were impressed with their gluten free crust. It was the right amount of crispy and yet still have a nice chew to it. Highly recommend!

So let me preface this by saying that I’m a pizzaolo, I’ve been cooking pizza for events family friends etc for about 10 years and specialize in New York and Neapolitan style.

I am very surprised by how good the dough is in such a remote pocket of California, I’m very, very critical of every pizza I get but here when it comes to quality there was nothing to address.

I got a margarita and it was fresh, light, and had a great bite to it wonderful pizza,

Honestly my only complaint, is price, which I understand being out here supplies are probably expensive to acquire, but if either the medium was a 14 inch or it was a little bit cheaper I could easily bring myself to give it a 5.

If I could I’d give them a 4.5/5, very good, just small pricing issue, otherwise, unbeatable in this corner of the state

Very good NY style pizza. Rating from a vegetarian’s perspective. Margherita was very well done, and had a unique garlic-y taste. Just tell them to go light on garlic if you don’t like it. We also ordered veggie pizza. It was not well done and the onions and bell pepper also felt very uncooked. Veggie pizza was just 3-star worthy but giving 4 star overall because the margherita was very good and overall a great place in a such small town.

This is in all likelihood the best NY style pizza in California. Wildly exceeded my expectations as a philadelphian.
