Just wanna say dont Rush us out !we did not ordered and received our food on timely manner

Amazing meals at Golden bear station! So good we came back 2 days later for another delicious meal. Heidi and Joshua are excellent hosts and made our time there special. Highly recommend any pasta or pizza on the menu and the Pork was so tender on the inside and perfectly crispy crust!

Golden Bear Station is a tough reservation to get for a reason. The dining room is small and intimate, the service excellent and the food delicious! Everything from salads to pasta is fresh with elevated flavors and I haven't had a boring dish in three visits.

Would it hurt you to smile? We are Sonoma locals and were excited to dine here. The food was “meh”, “ok”. The pizza was tasty but needed salt, the pasta was good but an extremely small portion size for the price. Out expensive 35 minute to cook chicken must have sat on the counter for 10 minutes before being served because it was cold and lackluster. Tender yes, but no creativity with the presentation or side dishes. The owner/waitress/hostess was transactional and not warm at all. A little real interest in how our meal was would have gone a long way. Instead we had transactional service and a mediocre meal. And THE WORST beer list of any restaurant in Sonoma. We are home to amazing craft breweries but here instead you get a choice of 4 beers, 3 from Europe and 3 with over 9% ABV. $18 for a 12 ounce poor of a double Chimay? Outrageous! A decent wine list but overpriced. I wish we had just ordered the pasta and called it a day. Other pasta dishes being served looked delicious, but I dine out not just for the food but for the experience and that was definitely lacking here. Probably won’t be back.
We live a little over an hour away and the reason we came back is for the bib salad. I could eat this every day if we lived closer! We were also looking forward to trying the steak with vsop peppercorn sauce but unfortunately they didn't have it on the menu although it was on their website. We have tried the hot honey pizza, spicy vodka pasta and fennel ragu pasta. Every dish is great we're definitely looking forward to coming back and trying something else on the menu.

The open dining room with an exposed truss ceiling and kitchen is both cozy and full of life which compliments the fantastic menu and the accommodating and efficient service. The menu is Italian inspired and driven by Sonoma County ingredients. The food is plated beautifully, and the flavors are outstanding. The format encourages sharing with a satisfying fresh vegetable laden bibb lettuce salad presented in a large bowl, and a whole chicken presented three ways and complimented by delicious sides. The Owners Joshua & Heidi have created a special environment that is conducive to an exceptional dining experience. Joshua is a very talented chef and his skill is expressed in the way he coaxes flavor out of the ingredients. Standout dishes included a hen of the woods mushroom appetizer with an onion soubise and egg yolk that could be a main course and a hot honey pizza soppressata pizza that was beautifully topped & fired perfectly in the wood oven to produce a surprising marriage of flavors. Heidi is the cordial master of the dining room, seemingly everywhere at once while at the same time not appearing to be rushed, and knowledgeable about the menu and excellent wine list.

Awesome dinner! Bib salad, tuna, and burrata salad were all perfect. Pizza, pasta, seabass and pork dish were all fantastic. Good bottle of Zin and wonderful desserts capped a perfect meal.
