My husband and I have decided that Ty Caton Vineyards is one of our favorite vineyards ever. We had such a wonderful time there. We came here through the Platypus Tours. Paul was our wine guy and he was phenomenal. It was such a great experience and each wine was SOOOOOO GOOOOOOD. We ended up buying three bottles. Thank you Ty Caton!
Paul was an absolute blast in the tour. We learned so much about the region, the story, and the wine. Superior.
We did a tasting through Platypus Wine tours and this stop was the best! Paul was great! 10/10 recommend! We will be back
A wine lover's dream! This review is LONG overdue. My husband and I have been coming here for years. Ty, his wine, and his tasting room, hold such a special place in our heart that "Ty Caton" was one of the names of our tables at our wedding.
For the two of us--who love red wine so much--the Tytanium, the specialty Cabernet Sauvignon series, and all the complexity and mastery of all the other reds in between, are unmatched.
Ty Caton is not a place where you go to have the "Wine Country Experience". There's no castle, no cave, and no turrets. Ty is like a secret. A charming tasting room that you probably wouldn't know it's there, unless you're looking for it ;)
We've loved the wonderful wine-pourers we've met. We miss George from the days past, but have still adored Jennifer previously, and the George of days present.
We will continue to enjoy drinking Ty's wine from afar when we are at home out-of-state, but will come visit Ty Caton whenever we're in the Napa-Sonoma area--forever. Until next time. Cheers!
What a fantastic tasting room, just off the Sonoma Highway near Kenwood. They are laid back here, and they take walk ins. It is located in a little strip mall, with some other good looking establishments like a beer place, and a central courtyard. At the Ty Caton tasting room, we could enjoy the $25 tastings, while the one teatoaller in our group could snack on food we brought and watch us enjoying ourselves. The heavy reds are the stars here, and it was very interesting to have the single vintage and blended versions back to back. Our host, formerly from Ireland, was charming and knowledgeable, answering all of our questions quickly and wittily.
Fantastic Winery, I highly recommend a visit in Sonoma. Our host was flamboyant and fabulous. I would buy any of their wines! ?
Nice tasting experience.
Brook and Lindsay are awesome! The $15 happy hour is a fantastic deal for well rounded and stunning reds.
Do you want a great wine tasting experience, stress free, quiet, and fantastic BIG reds? This is your place! I love this place, the people and the wine. If you are in the Kenwood area, this is an absolute must stop! Ty knows his wine, George and Paul are great as well. Great people!
We had a wonderful time at Ty Caton! George made our visit really special and does a great job explaining all the wines as well as being an awesome host. He gave us great local recommendations, told us about nearby events and just really went out of his way to make our experience special! Thanks George!!

Amazing wines!
We enjoyed our tasting experience as always, great wines, highlights were Tytanium and Lindsay. She is knowledgeable, pleasant, energetic and a true asset to Ty Caton Vinyards. Happy visitors!
Great wines! Thanks George, for your hospitality! Hope to be back soon!
I am so happy to be a member of Ty Caton Vineyards! We most recently visited the afternoon of Thanksgiving. The wines as always were delicious, and George did an amazing job highlighting the characteristics of each wine and making the tasting fun! I'm a red wine only kind of person, and their reds are nice and full-bodied with just the right amount of complexity. There's a wide variety of reds as well. Thanks again Ty Caton team for making our experience so enjoyable!
