Fantastic burritos. Homemade tortilla with authentic rice and beans. Fresh ingredients. I had Carnitas - which the meat was perfect blend of tender and mild crisp. Husband has the chile verde pork and loved it. Served with fresh green salsa. Next time will try their baked goods. They were literally rolling them fresh from the oven. Jamaica was spot on! We were traveling through- easy access on/off freeway. Absolutely delicious. Will become a must stop every time we are in the area.

We ate breakfast here 2 morning since we loved the delicious food! First morning a veggie omelette with beans, rice, potatoes and 3 homemade corn tortillas. So much food! The other person had a huge breakfast burrito with eggs, potatoes, chiles, beans and cheese... again delicious and huge! The next morning we both had cheese and bean pupusas with sides. Always coffee and each day with those breakfasts we ate our lunches late in the day. Friendly and quick service as we ate our meals there; however, many people came in for take-out items. Well that we did also: empanadas, bread pudding and a cheese danish. Trying to figure how I can add this place on my future California travels. Would love to have more meals here!

The food is excellent, home made tortillas! I grabbed a burrito and quesebirrias . 10/10I've tried so many breads from different bakeries around the Monterey county area and this is by far the best ! I'm telling you best . The bread is always fresh and great tasting. The girl in the register is always welcoming and helpful. I'll be back more often for sure

Castro’s is absolutely incredible. The potatoes in the carne asada burrito are delicious and cooked perfectly. They have the best verde I’ve ever had. The pastry was also amazing. Great stop off when traversing between so-cal & nor-cal. 10/10 would recommend the breakfast burrito.

I'd thought the papusas were well made, a bit thin on the stuffing. The Barritas were delicious. The cheese papusas for the vegan on the other hand were Pork.Pork... So no on the 4 stars. Eat here at if you don't have a preference what you get.

We were lucky to find this place. They made us a special vegetarian sandwich on fresh rolls. Wonderful Mexican with vegetarian options!! Really enjoyed!

TL;DRsmackin $1 pastriesbest fresh baked bread you’ll havegreat peopleAs soon as I stepped out of my car the fresh aroma of baked bread and pastries caressed my entire existence. As if to say “You’re home now, you’re safe.” And I was. How unlikely you may think it is, this feeling was only heightened upon entering the establishment. We were greeted with a warm smile and friendly service guiding us through what the best items are. Breakfast burritos immediately caught our attention, all of us ordering a different kind of meat. We continued to examine the array of breakfast pastries, ordering doughnuts, sweet bread, and clearing them out of churros (12 in total). The breakfast burritos came halfway through our doughnut experience, each of them causing the table to lean a different way. As the fresh tortillas, roasted potatoes, and amazing cheese filled our stomachs, the homemade salsas cleared our noses of all blockages. We left this place with our mornings made, wishing above all else, that we could be here tomorrow.
Very good food and vast selection of Mexican pastries. Probably one of the better tacos I’ve had in the area. They just need to have horchata ?

Breakfast burrito was freaking delicious!!!! We got the chorizo and it was wrapped in a homemade flour tortilla. It definitely hit the spot. Also I decided to try their Maple donut, there is a donut shop down the street but it's over price and not that tasty. Their here Maple donut was delicious too and not over price.

1$ tacos were the best and biggest I've seen.
