Haruka Sake and Sushi

They have good quality sushi here. If they have a Yelllowtail Collar available, I recommend giving their's a try. It was well seasoned and baked to perfection, not fried. The restaurant has a good vibe. We like to sit at the sushi bar when we go, and Nathan, the sushi chef, is always a pleasure to conversate with. If it's busy, you can add your name to the electronic waitlist pad near the front desk. We overheard some made reservations online via Yelp, so we might try that next time.

I had lunch here and ordered the Soy Vegetables Ramen. I absolutely loved the char and carmelization on the veggies, it made the ramen so delicious to eat. As a strict vegetarian, I do wish the menu had a vegetable tempura roll, but vegetarians/vegans can make it work with appetizers (tofu, edamame, etc.), side orders (miso soup, rice), and 4 different avocado/veggie rolls on the menu. And this ramen dish was delicious.

Excellent sushi, teriyaki chicken, sashimi and miso soup. Friendly and efficient staff. Best Japanese restaurant we’ve been to in years.

I had a business lunch at Haruka Sake and Sushi last month, and the meeting unexpectedly lasted longer than an hour. The wait staff continued to provide exceptional service throughout, and never interrupted our business conversation. Haruka hosted a perfect lunch menu that exceeded expectations. Our service was akin to having lunch at a top steakhouse in New York, where they know how to serve a business lunch. Let's not forget the fresh sushi and tranquil vibe that really impressed. If you're looking for a great restaurant for a business lunch, they are OPEN for lunch, even on Monday's (many restaurants are closed on Mondays in La Canada Flintridge, or don't open until the dinner hour. In fact, this is a wonderful option for a date night, girls night out, or a family fun night so your pre-teen can ignore you while posting Instagram worthy food pics - ha!

Everyone was courteous and was quick to help answer all of our questions. We even tried a few new things with the help of their team.
