Penelope's is our go to when we need sandwich or salad. Ingredients are fresh, service is good, and Penelope remembers our name, preferences etc. when we call to order. The outdoor sitting area has a big tree that provides shade and a small pond that you can hear the soothing sound of water. Inside, there's a gallery of books and unique gifts, and sometimes artworks, and I always like the seat in the corner that an old sewing machine was transformed into a table.

I have been coming here for years. A great atmosphere and very peaceful with a big tree shading the outdoor patio. The food is excellent - my favorite is the chicken curry salad!

Parking: Directly across the back alley and usually enough spots for everyone.

Wheelchair accessibility: There's a long ramp from the parking level to the restaurant.

We tried to stop in to grab a coffee with our dog, the owner was really rude and before greeting us or saying anything just said “I don’t allow dogs” and kicked us out. We asked if we could sit on the patio (outdoors) and she said no because it’s “considered indoors” even though it was clearly an outdoor space? We also would’ve been happy to order something to go but we didn’t have a chance to say that before we were kicked out. It was just surprising because there were no signs that said no dogs, and she just in general was really unfriendly. This is my first negative review I’ve ever written, but the experience just left a bad taste and some proper costumer service etiquette would have been appreciated.

Indoor and Outdoor Garden seating with plenty of shade! The food is fabulous and the service is excellent! I highly recommend this place. They are open for breakfast and lunch!

Have been bringing our grandkids here for about 2.5 years. They are now 3.5 and 1.25 years old: Happy grandkids=>happy grandparents!! They each LOVE the Quiche Lorraine (with fruit salad). I often get the tuna sandwich, but today got the chipotle chicken which was very tasty...with a mighty kick! My wife has been getting a bagel.....and hot chocolate, which she just adores! Very cozy, neighborhood cafe, with a nice touch of a children's bookstore incorporated inside (although we almost always eat in the patio; the kids love to watch the koi fish while waiting for our order).
