Penelope's is our go to when we need sandwich or salad. Ingredients are fresh, service is good, and Penelope remembers our name, preferences etc. when we call to order. The outdoor sitting area has a big tree that provides shade and a small pond that you can hear the soothing sound of water. Inside, there's a gallery of books and unique gifts, and sometimes artworks, and I always like the seat in the corner that an old sewing machine was transformed into a table.
I have been coming here for years. A great atmosphere and very peaceful with a big tree shading the outdoor patio. The food is excellent - my favorite is the chicken curry salad!
Parking: Directly across the back alley and usually enough spots for everyone.

They have ample in door seating and a spacious, shaded patio for outdoor seating.
The best feature of this gem is the small bookstore attached to the cafe. It’s perfect for a weekend morning stop.
