This is hands down the best place for authentic French pastries in the La Cañada area. I highly recommend the Raspberry Tart—it’s incredibly fresh and delicious. Another absolute must-try is the Monaco (Passion Fruit Pistachio cake); the tangy passion fruit flavor is so refreshing and pairs perfectly with the pistachio. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients here. It’s the perfect spot for a coffee and a high-end treat!

Nice place 👌
The team at Renaud’s truly takes the cake , especially Matt (Matthew) . He consistently goes above and beyond to answer my many questions! and always asks if there’s anything else he can do to make sure I have a perfect cup of iced coffee! Matt loves his work and it’s palpable!! It’s remarkable how much positivity he brings to the bakery and I am truly grateful to be treated so amazingly no matter how small my purchase is! I never visit Pasadena without visiting this bakery and the reason is obvious ! The team is a true true delight each and every time . Dependable and they deliver EXCEPTIONAL customer service .
Matt’s customer service was over the top. Extremely professional and a good character. Would go back again just for the interaction and of course the pastries and coffee were over the moon delicious. Would recommend again and again.

Amazing pastries and also did I mention the customer service was spectacular. Every one was super nice and excited to help.
Sweet kids work hard to serve the customers. They are polite and courteous. Give them raises! The pastries look heavenly. The coffee, which I am sipping right now, is on point. There are cafe tables to people watch the Gelsons shoppers, and the store has wifi if you want to bring a laptop to work as you hang out. It’s super pleasant!

Please send some barista to teach this people how to make proper cappuccino.Hot as hell .. undrinkable look at this foam.. what is thiiiiiis??? Where in the world they learn this trash?...insaneI will update my review to 3 stars .The chocolate croissant is ok. You guys can do better with the taste. The structure inside was good .
First of all, it was not advertised as being inside of Gelsons. Now I’m not sure if the bakery owner is a small business or if it’s under the supermarket, but the pastries leave much to be desired. The macarons tasted like they’ve been sitting in a musty fridge, and the tarts as well! The chocolate did not taste fresh, nor did the pastries! Also, I went a couple of hours before their closing about dinner time, and he was already shutting down and turning lights off! I asked for a cup of ice, and he didn’t even bother to top it off, that’s after spending 10 dollars on 2 macarons and 1 tart! I’m not sure if I’d recommend, might give it a try again, might now. I’m not sure.
The pastry and patisserie was always a good quality but I cannot recommend the coffee at all! I ordered a big Café latte and basically got a cup of boiling hot milk. Zero milkfoam (because too hot) and only traces of coffee in it. Most shocking though: When I brought the cup of hot milk back and complained about it, they wouldn’t even give me my money back but just handed me a card with a phone number on it!Very disappointing coffee and a complete lack of customer service! ?♀️
The almond croissant is to die for!! The photo doesn’t do it justice at all. Their pastries are beautiful and of good quality!

Wow. Not sure who Renaud is but he/she is doing it right. Just ate a lemon tart and it blew my mind. Found at a family get together on the desert table. Also saw the raspberry tart and some kind of caramel dish. The lemon filling was creamy, tart, and slightly spicy. The bread cup was firm, buttery, and perfectly thin. An incredibly well balanced confection. If I was in the area for more time I would definitely hit this place up for more. Run, don't walk, to Renaud's!
Walk into Gelson’s in LaCanada Flintridge, turn left... and you’ll instantly know you are somewhere special. Renaud's Patisserie with its brightly lit cases - with rows and rows of magnificent desserts and confections of the highest level. There are large and small versions of several signature desserts. I recommend the tarts, macaroons, croissants and the single serving size of “Decadent”... a dark chocolate flourless sponge with a dark chocolate mousse and chocolate glaze. Heaven on a fork.
I went inside Gelson’s Market and found this bakery. I ordered iced drip coffee, and it tasted really strange. I don’t know how coffee could have an off-taste, but it did. So, I had to ask the worker to change it to something else. I won’t get coffee here again.
Best croissants! The almond is absolutely amazing!
PLEASE bring back the Black Forest Cake!
