Huge fresh delicious portions of food. Best place for Japanese food especially sushi! Great service!
My mom and I love this place. Staff and food are excellent .
Sakana is honestly one of my favorite spots for sushi. I had such a great experience. We ordered the Lobster Roll and Alaskan Roll. Both were insanely good. So fresh, so flavorful... every bite was oishii. Our server, Brian, was super kind and made us feel really welcome. If you're looking for authentic Japanese sushi and a relaxed dining vibe, Sakana is the place to go. Can't wait to come back!
This place is already well known among those in the know. I used to visit frequently when I lived in L.A., but after moving to Orange County, I finally had the chance to return and enjoy a meal with my family.
It was impressive to see that they’ve maintained their high quality over the years. No wonder the restaurant continues to thrive.
In my opinion, it’s a much better choice than many overpriced sushi spots that are famous just for the sake of being famous.
Having visited numerous top-tier sushi restaurants, I can confidently say that Sakana holds its own without a doubt.
So so.
We have been this place for couple times and every time we receive the same service and high quality of sushi!
Horrible experience. Had a reservation and still had to wait an hour to be seated. Ridiculous.
We arrived at 615 for a 630 reservation. The place was packed with a line for fine in and take out. Staff was nice but very overwhelmed as the phone was ringing also. When seated we were greeted and served drinks promptly. We waited a bit longer for appetizers and mains. The table was so small we were constantly shifting plates around and consolidating. Overall the food prep was standard with presentation rushed. Two things to note: First, do not be enchanted by the use of the words “lobster” or “baby lobster”, read the full description to find “crawfish”. Second, my greatest disappointment was the imitation crab. Lastly the use of mayonnaise was too heavy for my taste and interfered with the fresh taste of the food.
Really on all levels, this is a very middling establishment. Somewhat plain and perfunctory decor, service is friendly but not very attentive, and the cuisine is ok but certainly not anything special.
Excellent customer service and the food quality is amazing. It was worth every single penny. Definitely coming back again.

We made a reservation on Open Table for 7:30 and when we get there they say they do not use this service. They they did not do anything even after showing them the reservation and said it was an hour wait. What a joke. Remove yourself from this service if you are not using it and make people drive 35 minutes away for nothing.

The sushi was good, the softshell crab was stinky, people are nice that work there but the service could be better.

This place was amazing. My husband and I have been looking for a new sushi spot for a while. It was delicious. I'm vegetarian and was worried they would have nothing for me. I had the garlic edimami veggie roll and vegetable tempura. Delicious. My husband had the baked salmon roll and baked lobster roll. He can't stop talking about it. To top it off the menus had scripture on them. "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13 ... Love it!!!
