The Proper is a cozy and stylish spot with a unique vibe. I really loved the library shelves decor—it gave the place a warm, thoughtful atmosphere that made it feel both laid-back and refined. The standout for me, though, were the blackened shrimp tacos. Perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of kick, they were fresh, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Definitely a place I'd come back to.
The food was delicious. The service not so much. After we ordered dessert we were told that our table was reserved for some e else and we were suggested by the waitress to cancel our dessert and coffee. Which was very rude. We ended up getting our coffee and dessert comped by the manager that was incredibly nice because we made a complaint. It's very sad because the restaurant and the food was great but will not be going back.
Too expensive. Service great. Burger good but a thimbleful of fries? 2 burgers, 4 beers, 100 bucks with tip. Too much.
Usually a great place to eat but disappointing this time. Chicken was overcooked and dry..very little honey sauce on it. Had this experience with this dish on before but the next time i i got it it was fabulous. So seems like hit or miss depending on the chef and the day. Drinks were good. Disappointed that they were not serving Prime Rib on Thursdays as advertised. Next time I will call ahead to inquire. Should not have to do so.Getting a bit turned off by the inaccurate advertisement on social media.they need to update.
Went to celebrate having my brother and two sisters getting together and having fun. Great atmosphere. Great food.
The food was amazing. But our waitress was fantastic. She made my son's 21st birthday fun and exciting. The other staff was just as good. Never were our glasses empty and everyone made sure to say happy birthday to my son without being cheesy.
Great service, beautiful room, and wonderful food. Menu has great variety. Something for everyone.
Vegetarian options: We enjoyed the tortilla soup, their Southwest salad, and I enjoyed their JPL Rocket salad

Beautiful space, well decorated, though some seating areas seem crowded. The food seems to need a little something more... flavor and presentation. Service is great, staff is attentive, very welcoming. Overall, it was a good experience.

We have been coming here for years, last few times haven't been as good.
Prine Rib sandwich had a lot of chewy Gristle in it. Felt like I was picking stuff out of the sandwich more than eating. My wife's salmon was pretty underdone in the middle.
We've had these same issues in the past... tired of complaining.

We are locals who come often because we really like the food and service. But the restaurant is so loud it makes conversation difficult. Some dampening or other soundproofing would help immensely.

I am a returning customer here many times, and anytime I've brought a guest, they are never disappointed. The food and drink quality are consistent. The service is always good, and the help makes an effort to make sure the customers are happy.
Nice neighborhood Gastro pub with beautiful decor. Good service. Well prepared food. However, they have still drastically reduced their hours and like everywhere else the prices are quite a bit higher (and they charge eight dollars for bread plus tax and tip.!)
I've been going here for a few years now. After numerous visits I've only had one bad service experience. The servers and bartenders are very skilled and give good friendly service. The food never disappoints, although a little pricey, you get what you pay for in quality. It does get a little loud and crowded sometimes, especially in the bar area, but it's a nice group of people to hang with.
Want to treat yourself, have the braze short ribs with vegetables. With a glass of Cabernet wine of course.
