Best Mexican food in Southern California. This is a family run business that survived the pandemic and closure for strip mall remodeling. I have been a customer for 20 years and love the food and atmosphere. Lunch or dinner is great! Marcos did a fantastic job with a large event order for our son's graduation party last June. We love the entire staff!

First time here and it was great. I was shocked with a few of the reviews on here and glad I decided to give it a try on my own. The food was fresh and not oily at all and the cocido was delicious! Aguas and micheladas were great as well. Definitely a hit and the customer service here was an A+. Glad we found a new authentic place near us
Great place for Mexican food. The chips and salsa are very tasty. Green chili with pork is delicious, as is the fajitas. You can't go wrong here for an awesome dinner.

The family that runs this place is lovely. All four (?) of them work here, and all four of them seem like they enjoy working here. The menu is extensive, and the food is pretty good. The value is great. The service is at least seven stars out of five.It's a tiny place, so you might have to wait for a table, but it's definitely worth the wait. The TVs can be loud, but don't be afraid about asking them to lower the volume; they're all sweethearts.It can be difficult to find this place, especially if you're coming south from Imperial. It's in a funky* strip mall that has all kinds of random restaurants. I keep meaning to try others, but Harbor Mexican Cafe is so good, I always want to come here. There's also parking behind the string of buildings, but it might take you a while to figure out how to get back there. So it's mysterious too. Ooh, this place has everything but a water element!*Good funky, not weird or smelly funky.
