I'm so late to the game, but I'm finally here. This place is so great. I fell in love with it immediately when the guy casually said he's the only employee and makes the vegan meats from scratch. He literally started selling vegan options after his friend and him were going to vegan places/events and noticed how expensive the vegan pan dulces were. So he decided to make his own. The Conchas are soft and fresh! The torta was only $10 and had everything you want in it. He had plenty of options for pan dulce. He did mention he was the only employee because he couldn't afford to pay another person right now because of the business. So I beg yall, please come try this place out. They even sell the good vegan bacon so even if you don't want baked goods, come and restock your pantry/fridge. I highly recommend the concha and the milanesa torta. I do wanna go back and try the roast beef one and the tamales and everything else he has. But trust me, with the prices, the food is worth it even if it's a drive to get there. Also the stuffed bollio was super soft and delicious. Even sells day old conchas that didnt sell the day before. Like why are you still reading?!?!? Click maps and head over now!

Five stars across the board please come and support this Panaderia! The vegan options are to die for make the trip from wherever you are. The bread is soft. It doesn't break apart and cause a big mess up bun. Dulce is so delicious. Go by yourself a torta handmade fresh to order the owner. Jose deserves so much more business than is coming in right now I guarantee you you will not regret your decision. The posole is immaculate. He sells other vegan traditional Mexican food in his refrigerator made the day of this place is splendid, and I will be back!

i ordered the vegan pan dulce box online and it was amazing! im located in virginia and had a random craving for pan dulce and after ten years without it i searched high and low for a vegan pan dulce and was so lucky to find panaderia la mexicana. i was so impressed that they were willing to ship across the country. placing the order was very easy; the staff are kind and the pricing is super reasonable. everything was so yummy and packaged very well. (super fast delivery too) i was really impressed by the fluffiness and flakiness of the pan dulce because thats very hard to achieve with vegan ingredients! i definitely suggest this place, especially if youre like me and dont have a vegan panaderia anywhere nearby-- look no further and order from panaderia la mexicana !! :)

I actually have not been to this bakery but a friend brought Flan Chocolate Cake for another friend’s birthday to my party. The top is Mexican Flan and the bottom is chocolate cake and syrup was scattered all around the cake. All vegan! It was delicious!!!! I looking forward to visit this bakery!!! #Veganuary

Love this place! Every time I am in the area I stop by and grab a little of everything. Conchas, Champurrado, Bolillos, flan and even better they have delicious vegan options so I can bring some back home for my little sister!

Jose is the owner. He does it all. We came for the vegan conchas but left with a bag full of a variety of delicious pan dulce. His conchas are the best I've tasted. Thank you Jose for your kindness and for keeping our bellies full and our hearts happy for food that is animal free.

Love this place!! It's a little out of the way but worth the drive every time. Their pan dulce (regular and vegan) is bomb and so fluffy. I chose to get their pan dulce catered for my birthday and it was a great experience, easy, and all my friends/family loved it!!

Last Christmas, I tried their vegan tamales and I'll definitely be going back again this Christmas! ☃️

Vegetarian options: Had the vegan pan dulce and also vegan stuffed rolls. The pepperoni and cheese roll was really tasty as well as the jalapeño and cheese roll and the soy chorizo roll. They are also super friendly. Call ahead cause they sell out! Def recommend!!

Service is great. Tres leche are vegan and that’s super cool and hard to find. Great store . Store bakers was so cool - he’s trying new recipe - pumpkin spice milkshake- he gave to try and it tasted so good- point to note - he’s trying to make vegan pumpkin spice milkshake. Great work ! Great recipe

This place is soo good. It’s really hard finding vegan pan dulce but this place by far is the best. I try to come here at least twice a month or even more. Not to mention the vegan tamales on the weekend are to die for!!

Way too much lard in the pan dulce! or whatever fat substitute ingredients they're using. I got sick after 2 pieces. The rest of the day, I felt like I drank a McDonald's deep frier with a straw.
Someone let me know when they change their recipes because I won't be back until they do.

I wanted to purchase some vegan pan dulce for my son's class. When the owner, Jose, found out the order was for kids at a school, he mentioned that he uses almond milk in his vegan items. He was so nice and accommodating that he made a whole separate batch with oatmilk, to be on the safe side. Of course, I purchased the whole batch so that nothing would be at risk for going to waste. The batch turned out super light and fluffy! Half the batch went to my son's class, and the other half I'm taking for a family party tomorrow. Jose even boxed the 2nd half differently, knowing that it would be eaten the next day, so that everything would stay fresh and not dry out. My son's whole class and teacher were so excited about the conchas and said they were the best they've ever had. I've already eaten two because they're the best conchas I've ever had, too! I gave some of the baker's business cards to share with the teacher and front office, letting them know about how the baker was careful to prepare a nut-free batch for the children. Jose is so nice. I really hope he does well with his business. I highly recommend others to try Jose's vegan breads, too. They won't be disappointed!
