I took myself out for a Christmas Eve dinner and the music was a little too loud for my liking but everything else was great.
Pictured are Blaze ramen mild, gyoza and CA hand roll.

My experience at Silverlake Ramen was nothing short of disappointing. The restaurant's layout is tiny, with tables crammed into a tiny space that's uncomfortably positioned right next to the restroom.
The staff's attitude was lame. When my wife politely requested a fork, one of the waiters actually had the audacity to scoff at her.
As for the food: ramen was whatevers. The noodles were hard, one single piece of pork, a sad little slice. The broth was bland and the overall presentation not very Japanese.
We had heard positive buzz about Silverlake Ramen, but it did not deliver. Needless to say, we will not be returning.
The hunt for decent local ramen continues.

I used to visit Silver Lake ramen frequently with friends and family I even celebrated my birthday here once with a large group …unfortunately I won’t be coming back here anymore. I did my first takeout order with Silverlake Ramen and I asked for 3 containers of the chili oil sauce that they give for FREE on the tables and they said I would have to pay money if I want the chili oil sauce “to go”, and I explained it’s free on the tables I can get as much as I want!! and they said yes but if I take it “to go” they will charge me, I had spent over $120 worth of food “to go”. I just wanted a couple chili sauces, and I understand they have a “policy”, but I don’t agree with this policy , and I think it’s ridiculous that they are willing to give me all the chili sauce I want for free if I dine in, but if I order “take out”, I have to pay for each individual chili sauce container. And in addition the waitress that was helping me seemed very irritated from the beginning all the way to the end , I will take my business elsewhere. I think I will try the Ultra Ramen restaurant on Imperial.
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian stock broth was absolutely delicious. Never had one that good before it was like a creamy, white and all the vegetables inside or super fresh
Dietary restrictions: They don’t have a seafood base Ramen, but they do have a vegetarian base. That is delicious.
Parking: Parking is super tight and congested not made for big trucks
One of the worst ramen place I have been to!!!! Their noodles are so dry. Ramen place usually have good broth, but for this place, their broth taste horrible and too salty.

Really cool ramen place, with great food and service. Had the classic ramen with pork, one of the best I've ever had.

One of the best parts of this place is the cutest sweetest cat that I have ever seen walking by with his owner as if his cat was a puppy.. And the food yes I end up having to go and make my run over to get my usual at least once a week but sometimes ever two weeks but it’s always great food friendly service and great friendly neighbors that are located by the restaurant are very kind…

Sadly, the quality of the ramen has taken a huge dip in the last 6 months. We ordered the garlic truffle ramen, and the broth tasted watered down and bland. Our waiter did not know the difference between chashu and Pork Belly, so we ordered chashu and received pork belly because that was all they had. The lemonade also tasted very watered down. Compared to our last visit in December, the quality was very disappointing.

The ramen here is solid. That said, there are better ones in the area. I won't name them here, as I'm reviewing this place.
I got the garlic truffle ramen. I'm not sure, but it felt like there was something missing. The broth was very creamy, but lacked a certain flavor to associate with that creaminess.
The pork was tender and juicy, but again, lacked any notable flavor to go with it. I'll come back to try out a different type..or maybe it was just an off day. Definitely worth another shot.

Everything is perfect, but in my opinion, the knots taste a little different than usual, but I think it's a good place if you don't have so much time to go to another ramen

The silver lake ramen in downtown LA is by far one of my favorite ramens of all time. Unfortunately this location does not live up to that standard. The broth in downtown LA is so much tastier and is rich with flavor. The broth at this location just lacked that punch and tasted more generic. The tonkatsu is the broth I enjoy. I always get the blaze as I love the spice. I wish they had quality control across locations as this restaurant is close to my house but does not satisfy my craving. The gyoza and crispy tuna rice were bomb!
