This cake shop doesn't make fresh cakes. I paid good money, to receive a frozen cake that wouldn't thaw. I followed their 3 hour thawing instructions. But the cake still was hard and frozen. I will not be returning to this establishment because when I called them to inform them of the ruined cake they simply didn't care. Please be careful using this bakery. The frozen cake wasn't worth the $200+ price tag.

Ordered a lemon cake with white frosting for granddaughter's baby dedication. Tasted very flat, as though it was missing something. Definitely couldn't taste lemon and cake wasn't moist. Also had to pay 20% rush fee when ordering on Thursday to pick up Sunday. Terrible value for what I paid.

I was so excited ordering a dozen mini red velvet cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday. I have bought them in December and was so happy with them. Unfortunately this time around cupcakes tasted day old. Cake was dry and icing hard. I called and voiced my disappointment of the freshness of the cupcakes. Unfortunately the customer service was less than caring! Very sad that nothing was offered to solve this situation.NOT HAPPY!!!!!!

I got 2dozen mini cupcakes, 2 brownies, and a Cinnabon. Only had the cupcakes so far and it's delicious!!!!!! I'm sure the brownie and Cinnabon will be delicious as well. It's a small business but they are total worth every penny.

I loveeeee their cakes. They have a variety of flavors to choose from with great topping options. They also make different flavored cupcakes and other small goodies that you'll see when you go in.I've ordered a few custom cakes from them over the years and they always get the design correct, down to the smallest or details. The best part is it tastes amazing. I don't want it to only look pretty. Their pricing is very fair! I highly recommend for custom cakes for any special occasion.

Due to circumstances out of our control - our little one never came home from the hospital that day. I continued the tradition buying birthday, anniversary cakes for my two daughters and on Thomas's birthday aswell. I experienced a take home wedding cake tasting with my niece, her Fiancé, my sister, and her paternal aunt (La Madrina de Pastel). It was so convenient, easy, and fun. My niece went to pick up the cakes that come in cute little decorated mini cupcakes and filling options. It was so much fun and OMG delicious. My favorite was the lemon and cinnamon...but really they were all delicious. The bride and groom chose coconut cream for the wedding day. This will be a two part review. The tasting portion definitely gets 5 stars. My niece called right after we finished the tasting and put her order in. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Ok, I'll be back with photos on the wedding day with picks for the second half of this review. So far so good.

Hands down, I've had the best experience with Simply Irresistible! The communication was great and the ordering process was super easy. I got a 2-tiered cake and 3 dozen cupcakes for a baby shower. The pick up was simple and they even helped me carry all the boxes out. The cakes and cupcakes were so moist and flavorful. We got endless compliments from our guests. I even bought a cinnamon roll when we went to pick up our items and they were still warm and very delicious. They do have cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, and cinnamon rolls available to purchase during their normal hours. I highly recommend them!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect & called them to make sure I could pick up treats without an order.Ever since that day, I come here for all my birthday treat needs (or my own cravings haha.)It's a small shop, planted in a small shopping center that can be easily overlooked if you're not paying attention. When you walk inside, there are cupcakes galore to your left (regular and miniature) along with an assortment of other cakes or pastries. The cupcakes are not only stunning, but they taste amazing also! I like to get an assorted mini selection, it's just the right size and amount if you don't want to be wasteful & to kick the sweet tooth craving. They also have cake a fridge where they keep mini pastries, brownies, cookies, macaroons, etc.Oh man, the cookies are out of this world. Chunky? Soft and gooey. I am literally salivating at the mouth, uh so good. This place is a gem! It's affordable. The quality is impeccable & the employees are all super sweet and helpful. SO glad I stumbled across it!
I ordered a custom 40th birthday cake for my husband. This review is broken into 2 parts: service and quality of the cake.Service first: I placed the order 2 months in advance. I sent an email with pictures and a detailed description after first reviewing the order over the phone. About two weeks later I completely changed the design via another phone call and another detailed email with pictures. They were fine with the change and there was no charge as my change was well in advance of the pick up date. However, the change was going to increase the cost of the cake so the lady told me she would have to call me back to give me final pricing. This is where the trouble begins.I never received a call back for the final price. I called after several days and the person I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about. Apparent no one recorded the changes. I went in to the shop in person to ensure things were straightened out. I was assured things were straightened out after going over the order form in great detail and the email with pictures. However they still weren't sure about the price and we're going to call me.1 week later I still hadn't gotten a call to confirm the final price. I called again and inquired about the price and the lady read the order back to me. It was the old cake design that I had now changed two separate times. Why isn't anyone recording orders? I told them that this is now the third time I am having to review the order and that this was now making me feel like things weren't going to be right. I was told I would be called back and this time I did get a call back. I was quoted the final price.A week later I was feeling nervous due to the constant blunders in communication between the associates at the shop. I went to the shop in person and asked to review the order. They had my old order and the new one stapled together with no indication which cake was to be made. I told the lady to throw away the original sheet so the confusion would stop.I called the week prior to pick up to ask if I could move the pick up time to 10 am instead of 11 am. The lady told me it wouldn't be a problem. Fast forward to today, where I'm still waiting for my cake at 10:30. I specifically asked if the change could be done because I was going to make an appointment for 11. Not only is the cake not ready, but now they are saying they will deliver it because it isn't going to be ready. I asked to speak with the manager. I asked her Why didn't they just tel me that at 10 instead of lying to me and continuing to say it would be ready "in 15 minutes"? She told me there had been "a lot of changes to the order" which made me so upset. The changes I made were weeks in advance of the pick up so that has nothing to do with the pick up situation. Now I am going to miss my 11 am appointment and I still don't have the cake.This has been the worst experience I Have ever had in terms of service. I will never use this place again and I strongly urge anyone reading this to avoid this place.Quality of cake: the flavor is great and the cake is moist. The detailing is of good quality as well.

I discovered Simply Irresistible at the Brea Bridal show a few years ago. They sold me with the free tasty samples they offered, and I knew right then and there that I would order my cake from them. After emailing the owner Jennifer back and forth with our price inquiries, vision, etc, we were able to get set up with a to go tasting complete with buttercream! Not what we imagined as far as a wedding cake tasting due to Covid, but we were able to sample a dozen flavors and take a nap break in between. :)We ended up going with a three-tier classic buttercream cake - half carrot cake (my favorite!) and half double chocolate (husband's favorite!). It was absolutely perfect. For some reason, our venue saved the top tier for us to take home, so we had plenty of cake to enjoy for days following our wedding (no thanks to freezing a cake for a whole year). After all this time, I still keep dreaming about their carrot cake. Looks like we need to make a quick visit soon!
