Love Beeside Balcony in La Jolla! Breakfast is by far the best in La Jolla & we love their lunch fare as well. Best shrimp tacos I’ve had. Beeside is a cut above!

Our waiter described the items on the menu well, and the cocktails. We had the seafood stew - marvelous- and the rockfish tacos - terrific. Our cocktails were the Beesknees and the Cucumber Collins. Both hit the spot.

My best friend & I went there & I ordered the Octopus ceviche with chips & he order 2 taco locos. Both were amazing. Small portions by we were in the happy hour zone, so that makes sense. The Atmoshere was Absolutely Sunning! I told the waiter that I think we found our new favorite spot. There was a decent view of the ocean & it was very comfortable weather. I would 100% recommend the Beeside Balcony to ALL* You work hard! Find time to enjoy this little Jen of La Jolla! ⭐️🌟⭐️🎯🎯🎯🌟🌟🌟🎯🎯🎯

Food is subpar and crazy expensive. One small crab cake in the appetizer. Smaller than a fist full and just ONE. The dishes were truly not good. Way pricey for what the portions are and for the quality.

I’m annoyed and frustrated with the overall experience.
No idea how this place is rated 4.6 * as it was truly disappointing.

This restaurant is such a mess and disgrace. The customer service is non existent, the food is bland and not worth the price. I recently got food poisoned from this restaurant and became bedridden for three days. Do not eat the seafood!!! Waste of time and money. I warn you to be prepared for rudeness and sickness if you do decide to come to this restaurant in hopes of a good time.
Bartender was nice enough. Drinks were fine and dessert was fine. Service was not good. Bartender spent 45 minutes cleaning up and ignoring her tables to get out early, also ignoring me and another bar patron. Would not recommend. The interiors seems pretty cheaply prepared and not tasteful. It presents online as being a classy establishment, but I would not call it that.

Highly recommend! Not sure what was better, the food, the staff, or the atmosphere! All amazing. Owner/chef greeted us and so friendly. Brought our dog a water bowl too! Octopus app and beach bum sandwich so uniquely prepared with so many popping flavors. Will definitely be back.

The scallops were not fresh—they had a strong ammonia smell and tasted alkaline. 🙁 I really regret not asking the server to send them back. Well, but tbh, there were only five small scallops with size slightly larger than coins, so I didn’t have much time to decide.
The Beeside in Del Mar was okay—not fantastic—but I’ve been there a couple of times for the view. However, the Beeside in La Jolla is definitely on my no-go list now, affirmatively!

Wonderful atmosphere and ambiance, but felt ignored and a bit rushed due to our waiter’s attention towards a large group that was there. Saw our waitress 3 times, and was given the wrong check at the end. Had the octopus which was half cooked great and half over-cooked, but the salad, bacon, and cheese was wonderful. My wife really enjoyed the seafood stew. Overall it was pretty good food, but the price tag wasn’t worth it - especially with the lack of attentiveness.

First time here for a date night with my husband and was very pleased! The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly, and the food was delicious! We ordered the trio of dips, pork osso bucco, and branzino. Our server Meredith was very attentive and made fabulous recommendations. We will definitely be back, and will certainly recommend Beeside to our friends!
