Burly Rock’s coffee is too acidic and the price hits almost six dollars before tip. Nothing special . For an in-house roaster, the quality doesn’t match the cost. Hard to stay loyal when the value keeps slipping.

It can be hard to get a seat because seating is limited, but this is a great coffeeshop in the area. Easy walk to Bird Rock. I had the chai and it was excellent.

Probably one of the best coffee roasters in the world. I have been buying their beans for over 20 years. They used to sell beans by the pound. After the other roasters started selling 12 oz bags Bird Rock eventually started doing that also. When Bird Rock started selling 10 ounce bags I started giving most of my business to other local roasters. I get that prices have gone up. I would rather they just raise the prices. Also, when you buy a bag they always offer a free cup of drip coffee. I typically only drink one cup of caffeinated coffee per day. Since there is no decaf drip coffee I ask for a decaf americano. They used to allow this substitution. Not any more.

Happening spot full of young locals just north of Pacific Beach. Outstanding light-medium roast single origin coffee. Beautiful benches on the sidewalk decorated by a local artist.

And I pass this shop a lot and decided to try it .
Delicious decaf latte and a cheese danish (vegan) pastry - so tasty .
The staff are very friendly and happy
And it’s a nice atmosphere with plenty of seating - indoors and outdoors too .

Excellent coffee! Great quality beans, but maybe most importantly, perfect temperature.
Plenty of places boast the brand of beans, but ruin the taste/experience with burning or steaming too hot- NOT the case here :)
