Bird Rock Cafe offers a fantastic atmosphere with a laid-back vibe and welcoming staff. While the prices may lean towards the higher end, the vanilla bean latte stands out with its perfectly balanced sweetness, making it a delightful choice for a quick coffee fix. The outdoor seating is a real bonus - plenty of benches and fresh air vibes. And when I swung by, the place was crawling with cute dogs, just adding to the chill vibe. Definitely a spot to enjoy your drink and take in the scene, especially on a sunny day.

I really enjoyed coming here on a Sunday with my laptop and doing work while feeling the La Jolla beach breeze. A variety of customers coming this branch. Their chocolate mocha is outstanding and right on point. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a REAL mocha.

Staff was friendly & it’s in a nice area but the coffee has no flavor at all & tastes kinda sour.Update:I came back for my free coffee since I was in the area…Staff is still very nice but unfortunately the coffee is still very bad

Truly one of my favorite coffee shops in the world! When friends are visiting from Europe and complaining there's no good coffee in the States, they change their tune at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. This particular location has a unique open-air environment which just adds to the liveliness of the location. I relish every chance I get to come grab a coffee here. I've been doing it since 2010! It does get busy, but that 10-15 minute wait is worth it.

Really delicious coffee. I think I had some type of salted caramel latte. Good wifi. Friendly worker. Good service. Music was super loud (for me) but I wore my earplugs to drown some out and was super comfortable there. Would go back!

came on a rainy saturday morning so it wasn't super crowded. got a hot sandpiper and although it was just a biiiit sweeter than my preference, i still really enjoyed it. it's also a great place to study for a couple hours but i didnt pay too much attention to the outlet situation. would definitely come again!

Great location, staff, and coffee. I enjoy stopping here on longer bike rides for an energy boost and I’m always greeted warmly with a lovely place to take a rest. There is ample outdoor seating which seamlessly blends into the café, such a great atmosphere.I love the coffee here. I recently sampled a matcha donut and it was delicious. I look forward to trying more pastries.

Expensive and watery. I got the iced macadamia nut latte, and it only tasted watery. I didn't get a hint of macadamia nut flavor. And it was $7 for 16oz.

I recommend the best monkey bread!!! I ordered hot Vanilla bean coffee and my family ordered other ones that they liked too, like me. Quite a lot of people on a Monday, the lady gave a smaller-sized iced coffee when we ordered a large size. She changed it right away.
