The flights are cute. Very little alcohol inside them though. View is nice.

I love this restaurant! It has a great atmosphere with a terrific staff. Our server,Alexis, was so
thoughtful and asked if she could move us inside when the rain started. We were impressed with Alexis and her being so attentive to our needs and the food was wonderful!

Absolutely terrible service. There were lots of waiters walking around, but it was nearly impossible to actually get them to pay any attention to us. A much larger party right next to us was seated, served and left before we even received our food. They never checked on us. We had empty drinks. Also, this was all after waiting an hour for a table.

Judging by the reviews we had an abnormal experience, but this was honestly super disappointing. A group of 4, one being a kid and one being pregnant we assume that they just weren’t interested in serving us. We waited 40 minutes for a table until I asked where we were in line (we watched multiple people walk up and get served immediately). Then once we were seated it was a table away from any view despite all of the tables either views being open.

But! Not one to let the vibes die we shook off the initial frustration and extra 10 minute wait for a server to acknowledge us, we ordered some focaccia with marinara for the table (we tried flatbread but they were out) plus drinks, including a mocktail for the pregnant member. The drinks were… not great to say the least. Mine was watery, my wife’s was described as a “splash of lemon” but tasted like a lemon drop and the mocktail had no soda water plus a thin white film that looked like bird poop. The bread arrived and was actually very delicious! The marinara arrived with what looked like maybe some kind of spill in it that even the waiter agreed looked gross. They brought out a new one 10 minutes later but we had finished the bread appetizer already so it was $2 wasted.

Overall, seems like maybe it just inexperienced staff or something. But a real shame. Hopefully your experience is better!

This place was the bomb. The TV sign above the entrance was a little too bright tho.

The service was despicable. We asked for ice water at least three times and never got any. My friend wanted ice water with lemon and they finally brought her an empty glass with two lime slices. Dinner was okay but we were seeded and had reservations before a huge table of people. They were served and ate and left before we got our check. The service was just so bad. It was like the staff were on drugs. Asking for the most basic things. They just stood there and sort of looked at us. Nice view but I definitely would not go back.

This rooftop bar is incredibly OK. There is nothing super special about it. I feel like I would give it a better review if the food was of a higher quality - don't get me wrong - it is decent edible food but, for its price point I would expect something a little bit more refined or, a little bit more eccentric. This restaurant is attached to a hotel, which makes sense as to why the prices are what they are.

Nonetheless If you want to use the bathroom, you actually have to go into the hotel and use one of their public hotel restrooms, which is nestled in the hallway of rooms. Heaven forbid you have to get up and move around during the course of your stay here. When I got up to use the restroom, It was like navigating maze of tables, people and chairs all of which were too close together for anyone to feel remotely safe in the event of a pressing emergency. I felt worse for the people sitting who I was passing by, with my waist getting dangerously close to some of their faces. I cannot imagine being a plus size individual trying to get around in this place.

As for the space itself the key point of this rooftop bar and restaurant is the view. If you ever find yourself wanting to get some drinks and order an appetizer this place is actually pretty darn good...

However, if you dare to venture into the realm of entrées... Beware... you will not be impressed and perhaps even begrudgingly sated.

This venue is trying to maximize everything they have and it really shows. I feel that if they just pulled back even just a little bit and focused in on what they do best or even try to elevate the elements that were lacking, this place could have a line out the front, but they're doing fine with what they have and that reflects in their food, service and atmosphere. It is perfectly fine. Just OK. Not good and not bad, just fine.

The service was poor. It was not busy and our waiter was not attentive to us. He never checked back on us how things were. He basically disappeared. We didn’t get refills on our drinks or water. It took a long time to get our tab. The food was great but even though that was the case we would not go back due to poor service.

Sat in front of the bar and it took 27 minutes to get a drink. The bartender polished glassware and talked with another employee instead of making drinks for customers.

The view is excellent, but the food ...The pesto tasted old and rancid. I hardly touched the plate. I told the nice server and then asked for the bill anyway. I was asked if I wanted a box to go ...:) (I just mentioned the food tasted old and the plate is still full :) Paid and left for dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Loved Birdseye! The black beach mocktail was awesome!! Ill bring friends back for that :-) cormorant salad, hamburger, chicken pasta, all delicious. Chicken and bacon sandwich stole the show. View was amazing, and we even got a Lambo lol :-) one of my new favorite places in la jolla!
