This must be our third or fourth time enjoying Candor. Everything from the service to the food is outstanding! Brunch was as delicious as dinner and I can't wait to go back and try even more items! Bring friends because you will want to share everything!!

We just stopped by out of the blue and this place is FABULOUS...the Food so DELICIOUS..I had the lamb dish and my charming wife had the tuna melt..with tomatoes and bread..with side of shrimp for me. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC FOOD...
Probably the best restaurant we had during our trip to San Diego. Service was great, food is well prepared, and you can definitely tell they look after the details of every single dish. E.g. even the roasted pepper in the salmon salad was cooked properly to extract the sweetness and flavor out of it.Would definitely love to come back next time.

The food saved this from a one-star rating. Took my wife for V-day ... BIG mistake. First, planned indoor seating but was given outdoor. Cold with few heaters on the outer part of the the outdoor seating. Burrr. Then made a simple drink order, an Arnold Palmer. Had to ask for it three times before it was provided. Starting to be concerned. Appetizer order was delivered to wrong table, so had to sort that out. Finished the starters and had to wait to order entrees. Ordered and then more wait. And wait. And wait. Meanwhile, the table next to us,who ordered the same thing, was served and still nothing. After close to an hour (in total, seated at 7:30 and it's now 9), went to hosting station and asked for waiter. When he came out asked for the check so we could leave. Amazingly, our food then arrived. It was good, I'll say that. But not “wait in the cold for an hour” good. The manager comp'ed the entrees, not the apps, for the delay. We appreciated the consideration. But don't see us going back.

Fantastic service, food was pretty yummy, it was a little bright for dinners and the tables were close enough that we could have had quiet conversations with the folks dining next to us but overall, enjoyed our date night!

I always have an amazing meal at Candor The food was incredible but I feel like they may have been understaffed this visit as it was very slow service The staff were nice but just not able to attend to us like they normally do :)

We took our daughter and her friend to Candor for dinner and everyone loved it. They have great cocktail and an interesting menu. We had only been there once before but the waiter remembered us and even where we sat. I had the salmon that comes with kale and rice and a tahini sauce which was nice and crispy and tasted very fresh. The girls had pasta dishes that they loved and we had two salads which were enough for four people. Overall, Candor is a nice, low key place to relax over a nice meal.

The food as always was wonderful. The service is good. My only complaint is that the hostess tried to seat us outside on a chilly night even with plenty of indoor seating. Instead she seated us right by the door. She claimed rhe seating further indoors was for bigger parties. She then sat 3 separate couples at those warmer tables after we arrived!

The waiter while nice, spoke little English so was unable to answer questions about the food or understand our order without coming back to the table to re affirm what we wanted. The food was average. The pasta and clams was underseasoned and had too much lemon giving the sauce and almost bitter flavor. The branzino was fresh and delicate, great potatoes came with it. Super average carrot cake with a yummy frosting and dry cake.
We really enjoyed eating here. It's great food with a low key vibe and a convenient location.

Very good food. Slow service was annoying. Too little wait staff to serve so many. Everything took longer than it should have. Would have had a second glass of wine if I could have gotten a waiter. Check impossible to get. Dessert out of the question due to slowness.
Consistently great every time! First , Catering is the best. Besides making wonderful meals at the restaurant I have had their catering on three occasions it was the best I've ever experienced. Family Thanksgiving, welcome dinner for my out-of-town guests. The Other night I had Ossa buco and the flavors were amazing! served on a bed of polenta, which was just creamy goodness !The best I've ever had, as good as if not better than Italy! My two other favorite dishes are the whole Bronzino and the seafood stew. If you want to treat yourself to amazingly delicious food, Candor Has to be your go to Restaurant. it is a hidden neighborhood gem.

Food, service and ambience is amazing. Juan hosted our table and was great and made good recommendations. I had the whole Branzino for my entree and it was grilled to my likeness. This place is a small wonderful Mediterranean restaurant. The food made me feel as if I was eating at a small town in Greece. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!
