Food here is so good. Friend from college, a local, introduced me to this and have been coming here every time I'm in the area. The salsas are also amazing. They really add another dimension to everything so it's a must try. It's an every bite thing for me. The service is always so friendly too.

Had the la Jolla burrito. It was bomb! It's a California with grilled chicken instead of asada. Highly recommend this place even over taco stand.

The yummiest Mexican food in La Jolla. Always quick and delicious. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. It's easily my kids' favorite place to eat! They love the cheese quesdillas and rice. I love the veggie burrito. Top it off with their spicy red salsa ?? My husband gets the combo platter with a crunch beef taco & cheese enchilada. Very inexpensive for the great quality, and they always get our order right, even with modifications to accommodate dietary restrictions.Vegetarian options: Lots of burritos, tacos, tamales and other dishes that can be modifiedDietary restrictions: I order my burritos without cheese and they have gotten it right 100% of the timeKid-friendliness: There are only a handful of tables for dining in, but they are very welcoming to having little ones around. My kids love the most plain items on the menu (quesadilla and rice), though there are lots of options kids would like.

Friendly and welcoming staff.My girlfriend and I especially appreciate the variety of meat options and Vegan options so we can both get exactly what we want.Scripps burrito (specify no cheese or sour cream) is the best Vegan Burrito we’ve had. For meat the classic carne asada with cheese added always hits, or try many of the loaded options including the Don Carlos Combo (pictured). Care definitely goes into the menu and preparation.Whether local or visiting San Diego, you’ll want to stop by for a great taco shop meal.

Wow, just wow. The prices are amazing, the food was authentic, and they had options for literally everyone. The vegan tamales were so delicious. The only critique is I didn't love the guac (not acidic or salty enough for my taste). The chips were fresh out of the fryer and were delicious. Service was great, not a ton of indoor seating.
