Exceptional food with a fabulous view of La Jolla Cove. Excellent service! Everything was perfect. The only issue is the parking situation is horrible along prospect Street. The public parking that was recommended is a garage next-door underneath a building and you don't know the price until you pull down into the garage where you find out it's a flat $25.

The service fell far below expectations. It took nearly 20 minutes for our server to return just to take our drink order, and we received NO attention throughout the meal. My soup was brought to the table without a spoon and I had to walk up to the bar to ask for one. Our server never checked in on us at any point. Overall, the experience was disappointing. We prefer dining at Jake's in Del Mar.

We were celebrating a birthday with four people . I asked the host if we could be seated with a scenic view to make it special for the birthday girl. I know most places can't promise you anything. So, I wasn't expecting anything, but hoping. They came through by giving us the best table we could have asked for. I was truly grateful for their efforts. We had a great time and we will surely be back.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. I also appreciated how clean and comfortable the dining area was. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a great experience!

Great experience. Swordfish was outstanding as was the ahi steak. Appetizers were tasty and our server was very attentive and helpful in explaining items on the menu. Certainly will return again.

Our go-to restaurant for our anniversary. Food was delicious as expected, timing between drinks, appetizers and main course was perfect. We had Gracie as our server, did an amazing job. Highly recommend.
We stopped in to have Sunday brunch since we were passing through and wanted to know if we should add Dukes to our wedding guest recommendation sheet for out of towners, we love Dukes in Maui and Honolulu as well as Malibu but hadn't tried La Jolla yet. Our food came out in 9 minutes! And it was so good, we were done and getting the check in less than 30 minutes from walking in which was perfect since we had a busy day. I was hoping to see more of the view it offered with an outdoor table but our table was behind so many tables we couldn't see if there was one but the inside tables looked nice as well.

Nice place, wonderful view, live music (not too loud - very pleasant). Birds fly over and it is not rare to get "bombarded" if you sit on the rooftop - best place, but with a risk.

We take our young boys out to eat often and you learn a lot about a restaurant this way. Service was incredible and flexible to needs of having young kids (lids on drinks but still with an umbrella in the lemonade). Will be back

We had a welcome party to visit with friends traveling to the area for a weekend wedding. The Duke's staff were incredibly accommodating and the food and cocktails were amazing. I highly recommend this place for your catering events or just a night out.

We randomly stopped in while passing by it was not to busy the food and service were great! We also where places closer to inside we saw a table leave and asked to move so we can have a view our waitress had no issue moving us before our food came out. She was lovely!!! We had the fish tacos, fish and chips,and a chicken salad they were all sooo good!!! Would definitely eat here again! The drinks were so good as well! Do not pass on them!
