I have had great experiences over the years at other locations but this one was very disappointing. The server brought out the incorrect apps for o e person then and other server brought over the incorrect dinners. The coconut shrimp was small and dry, propose to order the 3 course meal. They brought me the incorrect fish dish, then when the Mai Mai was served is was cooked like a pancake. Overall, the meal was very disappointing for 2 people and $180.
We split the restaurant week menu and found the portions way short, the coconut shrimp were 3. They were good but gone before we knew it. Same with the filet.
We were a group of 6. We had an excellent meal as well as an excellent server. We sat on the patio and there were heaters. Two of us had SAUTÉED MAC NUT & HERB-CRUSTED FRESH FISH. I was able to choose more vegetables rather than the rice that was plated with the fish. It was Mahi Mahi as that was the fresh fish of the day. It was very good. One had lobster and one had steak. It was restaurant week and four people did that and had key lime pie and hula pie. We enjoyed it all!
We went for Restaurant Week this time. Both Food and service were great. Manager Earnest came by the table twice.
Our Restaurant Week dinner was delicious! We each ordered a different appetizer- and we loved all of them! I highly recommend the MacNut fish entree, and the mini-Hula pie dessert. Our waiter, Sky, was attentive and efficient, and the outside dining with heaters is very San Diego!
First timer, here for Restaurant Week. Food was delicious, serving sizes were a good size and the servers were friendly and very attentive.
Dukes was fabulous as always. My friend had the Aji tuna Poké bowl and enjoyed it very much. I had the fish tacos, which were excellent. Jenna, our server, was appropriately attentive. And of course, there's always the view which is beautiful, even on a day with marine layer!
Awesome patio table, superb service. Salmon dinner just a 4 star- rice was lukewarm, salmon good- not great, Mac crust too heavy for the delicate fish😉. Loved the tasty Island pie with coffee. We'll be back next trip to SD
The fish tacos were great! The service not so much- our waiter was not very personable. It felt like he wanted to turn our table quickly. They didn't even acknowledge or say happy birthday we had noted in the reservation which was a total bummer. Also, I thought it was very odd to have their staff eating at the bar area watching football.
We enjoyed our afternoon at Dukes, but we were placed in a table outside at the back, way away from the view. We asked for a better table and were told that those were for people who had requested them and were waiting longer than we were. We would have like to have had that option but were not given it.

Hopping place in La Jolla for dinner. Enjoyed the Teriyaki Steak, Lump Crab Cake and Hula Pie. Service was efficient and food was yummy.
Exceptional food with a fabulous view of La Jolla Cove. Excellent service! Everything was perfect. The only issue is the parking situation is horrible along prospect Street. The public parking that was recommended is a garage next-door underneath a building and you don't know the price until you pull down into the garage where you find out it's a flat $25.
Always a great experience here. I drove from Orange County to host my guests. The service, view, and staff were all great. Overall, another great experience. I will be back
The service fell far below expectations. It took nearly 20 minutes for our server to return just to take our drink order, and we received NO attention throughout the meal. My soup was brought to the table without a spoon and I had to walk up to the bar to ask for one. Our server never checked in on us at any point. Overall, the experience was disappointing. We prefer dining at Jake's in Del Mar.
We were celebrating a birthday with four people . I asked the host if we could be seated with a scenic view to make it special for the birthday girl. I know most places can't promise you anything. So, I wasn't expecting anything, but hoping. They came through by giving us the best table we could have asked for. I was truly grateful for their efforts. We had a great time and we will surely be back.
