Unenthusiastic host team, average food quality, above average expense, average trade dress, below average cocktail quality, for $80-100 per person with $35 dollar parking the closest available, there are better options. Maui location wasn't much better, but was better.
I've been to Duke's to celebrate my birthday many times before because I love their Hula Pie. I got the corner table with the best view. Shawn was absolutely lovely. Amazing service every time. 10/10 will always recommend!
We were lucky enough to sit right on the edge of the outdoor area with a beautiful view of the ocean and sea lions. Service was friendly and quick and the food was delicious. I had the farmers omelet and my daughter had the pulled pork sandwich. We even managed to almost finish off a piece of their delicious Hula Pie!! It was a lovely day, meal, and setting. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic view & yummy food! We had a wonderful brunch, coconut French toast & perfect Bloody Marys! Yum!
Very busy even for late afternoon lunch, but worth it! Book ahead to reduce the wait, especially if you want the patio seating. Great views. The coconut shrimp, bbq ribs starters were delicious. The Dukes Baked Fish was the best whitefish I've ever had! Family friendly, but it is a loud environment, hearing impaired may have difficulty. Service was pleasant and speedy.
A restaurant with an amazing ocean view. My friend and I stopped by while walking around La Jolla Beach, originally just looking for a place to sit down and grab a drink. We decided to walk in and give this place a try. They told us the wait would be about 20 minutes but it ended up being closer to 40. Not the end of the world though - when you’re by the ocean, time somehow moves a little slower anyway.
Once we were seated, the view definitely delivered. You can see the ocean, feel the sea breeze, and just soak in that classic La Jolla atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you almost forget you came for food because you’re busy staring at the water.
The food was fresh and nicely seasoned. We ordered a mojito and a colada. Both were solid choices and perfect for the setting. The service was warm and friendly, and they checked in with us several times to make sure everything was good.
Overall, it’s a great spot if you want to enjoy the ocean view, relax with a drink, and take a little break while exploring La Jolla. Just be prepared that the wait might be longer than expected.

The view from the outside sitting area is nice as we could see beach from there however that view is limited to only a few table. Food is fine, it's nothing extraordinary. The service is fast and professional as it could be.

Great New York steak special!
Love dukes in Hawaii and love this one too. Great service. Delicious fish dishes and great dessert. It’s spendy but it’s also worth it to me. Would recommend, great view too.

Overall great experience. Good food, good atmosphere, and great view. Parking sucks and the hostess wasn't helpful. But the wait staff was amazing, I had a great time. Def recommend.

Just ok for me. There weren't a lot of light or not fried options on the menu or available at that moment. They could use more vegan options as well. I'd say this place is only worth it if everyone at the table is down for a big expensive fish dinner. I wouldn't say it has great variety for a diverse group gathering. The staff was friendly. The venue is indoor/outdoor, and right on the main drag of town.
