We worked with Giuseppe in connection with bar service for our wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum. We were so impressed with Giuseppe during the entire planning process. They worked with us to ensure the wine, beer, and specialty cocktail menu were exactly what we wanted, even going as far as to use our own margarita recipe for the day. All of the bartenders and servers were so kind and friendly to us and our guests, and obviously the drinks were a hit! Highly recommend working with Giuseppe for your next event!

We used Giuseppe's Catering last night for a retirement party hosted at my in laws house and it was fabulous. The servers, chefs and bartender were all so nice and professional. David was wonderful to work with and made sure everyone was on the same page, filling us with confidence that we could relax and enjoy the night because they had everything under control. The bartender was quick and his drinks were delicious. The food was mostly all fabulous. Appetizers were great, salad and pasta were both SO good. The sea bass was slightly dry but the flavor was good. Short rib, potatoes and vegetables were also so good. The quality certainly comes at a price point but I was pleased that it was money well spent, as my guests were all very happy and raving about the food. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We hired him and his team for our wedding dinner, our wedding bar service, and eventually added on a catered rehearsal dinner. All of this plus wonderful service for our plated dinner AND the food was PHENOMENAL. People call and text us just to tell us how good the food was. Giuseppe and his team worked closely with us to make sure the menu was exactly what we wanted, including making some changes and customizations to our entrees and helping us sort out our dessert selection.For our rehearsal dinner we had their catered boxed dinners, which are honestly enough food for two people and this was also absolutely delicious. I couldn't stop eating. And they came delivered right on time in these convenient, temperature control bags.I honestly may drive to Candor soon and ask him to recreate our wedding dinner just so I can eat it again. After 2 postponements due to covid (read 3 different wedding dates), we finally got married 4/16/22! We got married at Scripps Seaside Forum so we were only able to use Bar Giuseppe for our alcohol needs. We did the basic catering and ended up providing the alcohol which we bought from Costco and we thought it was more cost efficient! Still kind of crazy that we had to pay $2500 for glassware, the bar itself, and the bartenders but unfortunately we were locked into this company given our venue. Regardless, the staff at Giuseppe was easy to work with, communicative, and professional. While we thought they charged alot for what services they offered, we did not have any issues with them leading up to the wedding or the wedding day itself so thanks for providing great drinks to our guests and us!

One of the "must haves" at our wedding was a family style dinner, and Giuseppe and his team delivered with so much more than we could have ever imagined! The food was incredible, everything tasted amazing, and our dinner ended up being one of the biggest highlights of the day for me! The wait staff was wonderful, every table got their food at the same time, and the whole dinner service went off without a hitch! I wish I didn't feel this way because I worked with Giuseppe before and they were great. I worked with Rachel when she was there and she helped with my baby shower during Covid. She was great and professional. I wanted to give them business as a repeat customer so I hired them for my upcoming birthday party. Rachel is no longer there unfortunately and I worked with Sarah. She was not very easy to get in touch with and I had to keep initiating contact. We were planning the menu for weeks and I thought we were set for the event. I reached out again and Sarah told me they had to cancel on me because they overcommitted. She never mentioned this prior- otherwise I would not have continued with them. It is highly unprofessional for a well known catering company to operate in this way. I have already found another vendor for my event but wanted to warn others. They have lost my business as a repeat customer as well as my friends and colleagues.

Giuseppe catered a party I attended last night. I've had his food before (Museum Cafe in LJ, Caroline's, Candor) and it's always amazing. Until last night, I hadn't attended an event catered by him. It was really the best I've ever had. The appetizers were scrumptious and perfect, each and every one. The staff was lovely. The meal, which was buffet style, also incredible. The salad, several notches above what even a typical good salad is. My husband had salmon and said it was delicious. I had the braised beef (I think that's what it was called). So delicious. Both had a beautiful sauce. There was focaccia, roasted veggies, beautiful mashed potatoes. After, they tray-passed adorable mini desserts. The carrot cake was to die for. Hard to eat just one! I'm very glad I made it to this party. I saw the menu ahead of time and changed other plans to attend. Just perfect!

Giuseppe catered my Nov 2021 wedding (125 ppl) at a downtown venue in San Diego. There was a change in one of the head managers so when she left Chef Giuseppe took charge. The venue I booked did not allow open flames of any sort so when Giuseppe found out he let me know that the menu would have to be altered for quality/freshness. Very understandable, however, a month out and with our menu cards already printed it was a little stressful. Giuseppe offered to pay for new menu cards and ensured me that the food would be even better than originally planned (and still have an Italian zest to it). All of our guests have commented on delicious the food was and they loved the family style catering. The day of the wedding the servers were very professional the servers and efficient. Chef Giuseppe was kind through the process and made our wedding day food even more than what I could have imagined.
