Honestly the best vegan food in San Diego! I hope they reopen soon because I miss it!! Their breakfast is absolutely amazing and deserts - this is the spot to go for brunch for sure!

One of the best vegan restaurants I visited. Great dishes and the quality of the products is felt. Excellent and smiley service. Highly recommended!

Casual Cafe with nice selection. Food tasted home made with fresh ingredients.
Popped in this evening just before close and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We all had the Bomb burger and it's gone down amazingly all round, our son is a fussy eater and had loved his meal including the strawberries on his salad. The owner chatted to us for a while and was very nice.
We enjoyed dinner so much we are returning for Happy Hour tomorrow!!
Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan and very very good. Whole heartedly recommend this place!
Dietary restrictions: They clearly state if nuts are used. And offer gluten free on some items
Parking: Lots of street parking available.
Kid-friendliness: They are very kid friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has plenty of space available as long as you can navigate the entry alleyway. The seating will be in the small courtyard area and they have space heaters if it gets chilly

Definitely a hidden gem!! All the food we had was spot on. We opted for the happy hour tapas menu and tried just about everything. It was all delicious and came out of the kitchen fresh, and in good time.
We enjoyed the Green Door Cafe. Had the Lasagna, Burger, and Dahl Curry. All were very good and we'll definitely go back. Nice patio/hole in the wall vibe.
We love everything on the menu. Lasagna, Tofu scramble wrap, ceaser salad… all of it! Delightful to dine in a charming garden courtyard. I enjoy vegan cooking classes here too. A very special restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024-07-14
Went here looking at its overall rating. Seemed a really good place. I think its unreasonably priced for the kind of food served. This is a great concept but the food needs improvement. The cafe ambiance is very nature like, the staff is very friendly. But the food was bit dry. We ordered the bomb burger, avocado toast, savory pancakes. The burger with potatoes on the side were extremely dry. There were no condiments, no sauces along with it. We were served some burnt potatoes and rosemary. The savory pancakes were very chewy, again no sauces, syrups, nothing at all. The food conceptually is really great, but could use some improvements in its finesse, especially if the price of each plate is so high

The restaurant ist very sweet and quiet located. Its all vegan and the food options are focused more on good quality wholesome food instead of regular more fast foodisch. For me the food were missing a little of flavour.

Food was pretty good, the atmosphere was ok, but felt empty, and not very organized.
Appreciated the menu and variety in options.

The place was a little quiet when we got there, (which was surprising) as it’s probably some of the best vegan food we’ve had in many years. The service was excellent. The food was incredible and we are 100% definitely coming back soon.

Lunch was delicious and so fresh! The ceaser salad was dressed perfectly and the strawberry salad on the cuben sandwich was an amazing combo. Pesto panini was also amazing and the mozzarella was creamy!
The Rueben was amazing. The bread was toasted perfectly. The Russian sauce and grilled mushrooms were perfect. The Caesar salad dressing was well done too. Dessert was good. I didn’t feel heavy or as if they used a lot of processed food to mimic flavors.
