Had an amazing lunch here with 10 of us for a bachelorette! The servers were so friendly and lunch/portions were great. The area is a nice to place to walk around!

A family restaurant for my family, run by a wonderful family!! Italian soul food here is unmatched! Molto Molto Bene!!!!

Asked the host if there closing he said no and then they proceeded to sit us. Me and my daughter wanted to take our time and enjoy the night. As soon as we sit the waitress started to hurry us and we ordered appetizers , 2 minutes later she comes back and says the kitchen is closing !!! Unbelievable. There are other places that are open in the area that stay open later. If they would've said we're closing soon or kitchen closes soon we would've picked another place. Horrible experience.

The food was very, very good. Some of the people in my party wanted espresso martinis and a few other drinks but they were completely out of several alcoholic beverages. Other than that, I enjoyed myself.

Very bad service and attitude! They don't have a working reservation system. They asked us to wait for the call and never called uu back! Just don't go!

One of my favorite restaurants in La Jolla! We sat at the bar and the service was impeccable from the hostess to the bartenders to the waiters, even the manager, checked on us! Everyone was so kind and they all made our experience very enjoyable! We had the Pappardelle pasta which was made fresh! I had it with the eggplant sauce and my husband had the pink sauce with salmon, both were fabulous! We will be back! Thank you! 💕

They were very busy on a Saturday night so definitely either make a reservation or come with patience! Food was amazing, made it all worth it.

Our evening at La Dolce Vita Ristorante was truly memorable. From the moment we walked in, Alfio welcomed us with such genuine warmth that it felt like visiting an old friend. The restaurant itself has a timeless, intimate charm that immediately sets the tone for a special night. Each dish we enjoyed was exquisite — fresh, flavorful, and crafted with obvious passion for authentic Italian cuisine. It's rare to find a place where hospitality and culinary excellence come together so seamlessly, but La Dolce Vita does exactly that. We can't wait to return!

Eat in the courtyard and feel like you're dining in one of Italy's great restaurants. The food is delicious, the portions tremendous and the prices very fair. The service people are warm, friendly and efficient. Velet parking is available right across the street. Always a great experience for us.

We've enjoyed this restaurant numerous times and each time it seems to just be getting better. Service and food are outstanding. We enjoyed eating outdoors last night and can't wait to go back again.

Always excellent . Food is great ! I even had chicken picatta that wasn't on the menu but was made for me and delicious!! Desserts are crazy good as well as service and warm welcome by the owner !

Racist staff. We walked in at 8:15pm on a Saturday (07/19), and the receptionist (white male, bald) told us they have no availability for tonight. Felt a little weird because other people walking in after us were waiting at the reception. We were too tired after a long day at the zoo so we walked away to find other restaurants. My boyfriend tried to look up reservations for this restaurant and found one for 9pm on the same day. Will not recommend to anyone after facing this discrimination. The restaurant should have a serious talk with whoever was at the reception.
