The best meatball sub I’ve ever had, hands down. Stumbled on Lark & Owl and now I’m obsessed. Ece (the owner) will not steer you wrong. This spot deserves way more hype — 100% worth going out of your way for.

I went here as a recommendation and as much as I wanted to love it, it didn’t happen. I ordered a cheese pizza and caprese sandwich . The pizza was a huge no. Very bland and the sauce was not tasty at all. The sandwich had more flavor but super small. It was 40.00 dollars for the two items so pricey. It was not for me or anyone that was with me. I’m glad I gave it a try but would not go back. It is also just a walk up window and you eat outside.

One of my favorite places!
I’ve tried almost everything: acai bowls (my absolute favorite), the Date’’ smoothie, and the best turkey avocado sandwiches.
Everything is so fresh and delicious!
The customer service is amazing too—so sweet and very professional!

Probably the worst pizza I had in my life. I got the chicken, veggie one. The chicken was heavily fried in canola oil that made it taste so weird. Overall, it was so heavy and tasteless. Salad was ok. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The açaí bowl was very sad and small. It is a great location and ambiance but service and quality of the items we tried doesn’t live up to reasonable expectations.

This cozy little café in Bird Rock, La Jolla is an absolute hidden gem! I stopped by on a friend’s recommendation and was blown away — especially by the blue cheese pizza. It’s honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve had in San Diego. Perfectly balanced flavors, amazing crust, and that bold blue cheese kick… just wow.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating that make it a great spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends. You can feel the care and passion in everything they serve.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting La Jolla, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Avocado toast was huge and delicious! One of the bests I’ve had. The multigrain bread was great, overall flavor profile was super tasty.
This has become my go to sandwich shop in Bird Rock! The service is top notch, the quality of each sandwich is phenomenal. My favorites are the meatball sandwich and the chicken caesar wrap. Highly recommend, they even have a jar with dog treats and water for dogs!!!
Looking for a good sandwich? This is the place. Turkey avocado and chicken pesto were very good

I went to Lark and Owl today and ordered the Goat Cheese salad and a caprese sandwich and let me tell you, everything was delicious!
Im so happy my partner and I found this spot tucked in next to the Starbucks! The gluten-free pizza was spectacular and my partner liked their sandwich so much it was gone before I could snag a photo 😂
Love this place. Had the turkey avocado and the goat cheese salad. Both so good!
Tiny spot serves BIG taste! Stumbled on this place on a foggy La Jolla day. Part owner Sarp from Turkey is charming, honest and generous. Will eat here again and again!

We didn’t touch the food, it was disgusting and burnt. The salad had no fork, nothing. A shame!
