The ambience of this place is very high-end. It looks and feels expensive, but the price is affordable. The service was really nice and food was excellent. We are from LA. We would eat the chicken here again when we come back. The fresh spring roll was OK. The peanut sauce has curry in it and nothing special on the roll. The ka pow whas good too. The sticky rice with mango was good very simple. It was not mango season so the mango was not the sweetest. What surprised us was the grilled chicken, big great portion that can feed two people with two amazing, dipping sauces, but the chicken is really good by itself.

I was so disappointed when I learned that Spice and Rice unexpectedly became a new restaurant. I decided to give this place a shot by ordering what I would normally order at Spice and Rice, but it just didn't stack up. I ordered a green curry with crispy spring rolls. I prefer thick, creamy curries, but this curry was a bit on the watery side. The spring rolls were okay. While the first impression wasn't great, I'm willing to give this place another chance.

We were rushed out 20 mins before closing, I asked for no peanuts (which was reflected on the bill) but was still served peanuts with my meal, entrees were OK, our mango sticky rice was rock solid and we were told to take it to go even though it was 20 mins before close.

We were visiting from Seattle and decided to take a walk around La Jolla. Little Thai had the menu out front and the seating area gives you a nice view of the sidewalk action to do some people watching. The place is very clean, nicely decorated, and staff was so welcoming. We had the Phad Ka Prow Kai Dow and Tom Kah Gai and it was authentic, felt like we were dining in the home of a Thai family. Everything was great and we will definitely stop by here again on our next visit to the area.

Small portions Rude management. Bland ambiance Insisted on doing loud maintenance repairs right next to customers who were dining. One customer asked for them to do repairs another time and the manager and older repairman insisted it was the customer's problem There are better Thai restaurants

I dined at this location a few months ago and had no idea the previous Thai eatery was going to be replaced after 25+ years of service in the village of La Jolla. Nothing about the decor seemed to have changed. Little Thai had similar operating hours as its longtime predecessor except with only a one hour break (3 to 4 pm) between lunch and dinner daily. One party was seated on the outside front patio while the rest of us sat in the dining room which was less than half full during my visit. The menu was broad with nearly 80 different savory items. A copy was posted on a sidewalk stand so those passing by could view the offerings. From the list of 15 appetizers, I selected one of the less expensive choices, the Fried Tofu. Eleven triangular pieces were served in a bamboo steamer basket with a cup of sweet and sour sauce for dipping. The tofu was lightly fried and had a decent crunch to it. For an entree, I picked my usual which was the Drunken Noodles. There were eight different varieties of toppings to accompany the stir-fried flat noodles with egg, bell peppers, carrots, and Thai basil. The Combo was my selection which consisted of shrimp, pork, beef, and chicken. The shrimp was cooked fine, however the chicken and pork were dry. The noodles were also on the mushy side. More was needed to balance out the proteins and veggies and to justify the $20+ price tag. This was also the first time I ordered these noodles without the server asking me what spice level I preferred. Luckily, the kitchen made the dish with mild heat which worked out well for me. The execution of the Drunken Noodles was why I limited the rating to three stars for my dining experience at Little Thai La Jolla. There is another Little Thai restaurant out in Spring Valley. I did not ask a staff member if they were under the same owners, but the two places may be connected.

This new Thai spot in La Jolla is a great place to stop by for a filling and delicious meal. The portions on the lunch special are generous, and the food definitely hits the spot. The service is so friendly and the interior has such a cozy yet modern vibe, too!

Little Thai managed to take over the absolute gem that was Spice and Rice Thai restaurant and run it into the ground with their complete 180 downgrade. Gone is the grilled shrimp appetizer with ginger sauce, fresh ingredients, excellent $20 Cabernet bottle wine special, and elegance that existed before the switchover. Now $30 for Mondavi swill, bad lighting, old tough food, unripened tomatoes, a yom nua salad that went from awesome to terrible in a month's time. They started mopping with a very strong chemical halfway through dinner to the point of making the eating experience even worse than I could have imagined. Avoid at all costs.

This is a cute establishment for lunch or dinner. We enjoyed cashew nut chicken, Pad Thai noodles, and chili, basil, chicken. The food was flavorful. However, the portions were small relative to the price and the service was slow. We were hoping with the new owners would improve the food quantity issue to improve value. We will give it another try over the next few weeks.

After shopping, we decided to pass by this THAI restaurant called LITTLE THAI LA JOLLA. We went in the moment they opened at 4 pm for dinner. Our server came and we ordered the following foods right away: *SAMPLER - Satay chicken, curry puffs, gyoza, wonton cream cheese, and cheesy shrimp. *FRESH SPRING ROLLS SHRIMPS *CHINESE SAUSAGE FRIED RICE *DRUNKEN NOODLE *PINEAPPLE CURRY DUCK - Roast duck in red curry sauce, pineapples, tomatoes, and carrot bell peppers. * EGGPLANT - Stir-fried eggplant, onions, bell pepper, carrots, basil and house special sauce. *PAD THAI TALAY - Stir-fried egg noodles with shrimp, calamari, mussels, green onion, and bean sprouts, topped with LOBSTER and ground peanut on the side. *FRESH COCONUT My drink, the Fresh Coconut, came first, it's a refreshing drink as always. Then our Appetizer, the SAMPLER, came. Compared to other Thai restaurants that we've dined in, this Appetizer Sampler had a smaller amount of food, but they were tasty. Our food kept coming fast, our 4 SPRING ROLLS came and they were fresh and delicious, and omg, the peanut dipping sauce that came with it was so good! Everything was so so good, there's nothing that we didn't like, everything was so Good! The EGGPLANT and the PINEAPPLE CURRY DUCK were my Favorites! They both tasted good, and the sauce that came with them was so good with the White rice! The drunken noodles were so good, they weren't soggy. My son devoured it, it was so good! Their CHINESE SAUSAGE FRIED RICE has big Chunky slices of Sausages, I really love the way they cook their Fried rice here, it's very tasty. And the PAD THAI TALAY was the biggest plate on our table, it's a stir-fried egg noodle with shrimp, calamari, and mussels, topped with lobster. We had 2 servers going back and forth from our table, checking what we might need, I didn't catch the lady's name, but the other server was Enzo. Both are very Friendly. The food here in LITTLE THAI LA JOLLA was all delicious, everything is so Flavorful, and for that this restaurant became my Favorite Thai restaurant.

I recently went here with friends. The food was amazing and authentic, we ordered the pad thai, the yellow curry, and the spicy thai fried rice. I LOVED the service. All of the workers were so caring and patient. I'm definitely coming back here more often.
