The experience, food and service was exceptional but unjustified for what it was. About 30$ for pasta however it was tasty. About 50$ for ossobuca, was like a small roast, again also tasty. The drinks were also tasty, we got 4 total, roughly 20-25$ each. We also got an appetizer and dessert, unfortunately ran out of the foccacio. Our service was fantastic, server was knowledgable and helped pair items. Id come back on special occasion considering it all overall ,but expect to spend a decent amount and small portions, good food and good ambiance.

Food was pretty good and our server was very polite and friendly, we'll definitely go again 😍

The ambience is beautiful and location is great. The food was just OK, Carbona pasta dish didn't live up to reputation that was suggested by our waiter. It was too rich, more like an Alfredo. We paid by credit card and waiter mistakenly put the wrong charges on our credit card, over $200. We hope the charges will be reversed.

Disappointing. Beef carpaccio was overwhelmed with multiple sauces covering the entire dish. Amateur mistake that should never have left the kitchen. Focaccia, usually good, was tasteless and lacking olive oil and salt. The osobuco was unremarkable and the polenta tasted sweet. Service was slow. For over $100/ person I would expect more.

Came here on a Friday night with my wife. Seated with my back directly in the walkway to entrance. Felt odd, but I was able to look past it. Ordered drinks and the local crudo. Crudo and drinks were great. Entrees: wife ordered the carbonara and I ordered the duck lasagna. Carbonara was cold. Definitely had been sitting so we sent it back. Duck lasagna, sent back as well. It had no flavor and seemed like shredded beef with a tomato water. Round 2: received carbonara at an appropriate temp, and it was actually good. I had ordered the filet mignon instead of lasagna to reduce the risk of dish being underwhelming. Unfortunately steak was cold. It was also rare instead of medium rare like I ordered. Wife was able to eat and enjoy her carbonara. I sent back my steak and asked for the check. In conclusion. I would not come back here due to the restaurant fumbling a filet after letting us down with two previous dishes. The lead or maybe shift manger did come to the table to apologize and gave a gift card to try restaurant again. I live in Oceanside. I would not go out of my way to come here again unfortunately unless it's for just drinks. The server was attentive but extremely slow once it came to getting the check.

Fabulous experience. Food was incredible and vibe was perfect. We dined here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary after seeing a glowing review in the Infatuation. Justin was our server and made our time here incredible. When we visit La Jolla again, we’ll absolutely be back!

The food here was amazing!! 9/10!
The atmosphere was a 9/10!
The drinks were about a 1/10. Me and my sister in law ordered a margarita and I don't think they have ever made one in their life. It tasted like a side of lime juice. It had a big cubed ice as if it was an old fashioned.
The service was ok. I wouldn't say spectacular. 5/10

Kristina is the best server and this is one of our absolute favorite Italian spots in San Diego! The vibes, the food, the interior design, it’s all a 10/10. We’ve had Kristina as our server a handful of times now and every time the service is excellent. She’s very attentive and also puts a huge smile on our face with her happy energy! If you have not been to Marisi, you must go. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Marisi is kind of new in La Jolla but an upper scale Italian.
We have been there a few times and we like it. Their carbonara and Casio e Peppe are the best. Their Duck lasagna is ok, their crab agnolotti good but disappointing because for $40 you get the size of an appetizer. All dishes are small but their caesar salad is the best deal, just make sure to say easy on the dressing and of course their Focaccia bread is the best.

The cocktails were the best part of the meal. My wife got the king crab ravioli which was INEDIBLE. Obviously frozen before hand. As far as my pasta, incredibly underwhelming.. I could have made better with ingredients from Walgreens.

I went for my birthday dinner and it was extremely disappointing. The drinks were okay but the food was absolutely disgusting and disappointing. I’ve never been to an “Italian” restaurant that doesn’t know how to cook pasta! $50 for a tiny bowl of hard and dry crab pasta. Unbelievable!!! 0 stars for the food smh

Loved everything about my experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and tasty. I loved the ambiance and this restaurant is perfectly located by the Cove. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient. Definitely, recommend an advanced reservation especially on weekends.
