Medium rare steak was medium well. Scallops were so fishy we couldn’t eat them. Service was good, food was awful. It was a special date for us, I wouldn’t make the same decision to go there again.

Visiting from out of town, looking for something special for our anniversary dinner. The grounds and vibe of M&B was inviting, so we gave it a shot. Very disappointed.
Our anniversary dinner this year aligned with the Super Bowl, so we will attribute the lack of attention to that in part. Everyone was very polite and courteous. However, the Staff seemed distant and distracted until we asked. They did remove a portion of our food costs.
We ordered the tortilla soup and a couple of salads. The soup tasted like someone opened a can of Lipton tomato soup, dumped it in a bowl, microwaved it, and then added faked crab meat to it. The soup was hot.
Both salads, a garden and a caesar, tasted like the lettuce had dirt on it. The garden salad was inedible it was so bitter. The caesar salad had enough cheese and sauce to mask the taste. I added the shrimp option to the salad, which were good. Little expensive $14 for four small frozen shrimp.
The grounds are beautiful. The staff is pleasant. We wouldn't return based solely on those facts though.

Food was very disappointing. Guacamole was tasteless. The salsa also just bland.

The appetizers were amazing, the cauliflower appetizer was very flavorful and opened up my palate. The octopus was as well very delicious, and well seasoned/cooked. They ran out of the tomahawk ribeye which was fine, and I opted in for a prime rib instead. The prime rib was ok, decently seasoned, decently cooked. It wasn't anything amazing however. This place is nice to try out, maybe not a regular spot, though.

Ambiance is great, service is inexperience. Wines are very expensive, still they do not even have a decanter.

Delicious delicious food! Patio is cute and roomy, great for dogs or groups. Live musician was nice too.
Food was bland and unimpressive. Can’t believe this is the only dinner option besides room service. We didn’t plan on leaving the property but we’re going to have to for a decent dinner.
Salsa lacked flavor (worst salsa I’ve ever had)
Ceviche had an odd taste
Pork belly tacos were mostly chunks of fat
Ahi tuna dish might have been better chilled, it was warm and tasteless. Plantain chips that were served with ahi tuna were stale and rubbery.
Kids chicken quesadilla barely had any chicken.
Save your money and find another place out in town. The only thing good was the atmosphere. Waiter tried his best but the horrible food ruined our experience.

Cocktails are 20 bucks, outdoors is very open not very private but nice on a sunny day. It has a Spanish style feel to it, with an outdoor fireplace. We were five people and we looked at the receipt and they added a group 20% gratuity, be careful look at your receipt. As if a family sat down they would unknowingly have a 20% charge on their bill. And then they would tip on top of that unknowingly again. Happy hour ends at 5pm weekdays.

Amazing healthy and flavorful food. Authentic to Baja. Our server went over the top to ensure we had a good experience. He was knowledgeable about the dishes, and could recommend the best. Thank you, Justin.

Fireplaces add to the ambience, and food/drinks are well-crafted, however, it took over an hour to get our food, so if you are on a limited time frame, might not be the best dinner option.
Great ambiance and great resort. However the experience was not great. It was a birthday dinner celebration. I mentioned it when I made the reservation and also when we checked in. No mention of the birthday. The food was overcooked and for the price it's not acceptable. Will return to the resort but will skip dinning at M&B

This is the second year we've had dinner at Mustangs and Burros--generally, it's a very pleasant place to eat. However, charging $17.00 for a Caesar salad is outrageous. My salad, without protein, consisted of about 10 pieces of Romaine with a sprinkling of cheese, a couple of crackers and about ten halves of mini-tomatoes. I think that salad probably costs you about $3.00. So that's my major complaint. The cauliflower was excellent, and a good price for that. My Caesar salad was a huge rip-off.
Outstanding service and attention to detail. The food and ingredients were locally sourced, and the chef even visited our table, which had a nice personal touch. Excellent meal and start to our evening. We will be returning to dine again.
